  1. Put my VIN number in - not listed - how strange ! Work was done today by the dealer, apparently a minor headlight adjustment, done within 30 minutes of my arrival. Called 'a free product enhancement' - is that just another name for a recall or not ? Who knows, however it's been done, not that I noticed anything wrong in the first place.
  2. Just received a recorded delivery letter from my dealer, obviously prompted by Skoda uk saying: ' We have discovered that your vehicle requires a free product enhancement that needs to be carried out. We would like to perform this measure asap, please ring and make an appointment.... or contact any Skoda authorised repairer....' On enquiry the recall apparently concerns headlight adjustments which should take well under an hour to complete. My new SE delivered last October has been booked in for next Wednesday. Anyone else received this recall ?
  3. Yes, I ordered a new SE (5 seats) - lots of options added - on the 2nd June, under Skoda UK's then 'special offer' - which soon disappeared ! Build week 19th July, left Czech 29th August, arrived at the dealer 30th September, collected it 11th October. Delighted with the vehicle. My last three cars have been Superb L & K Estates, but as I get older I fancied a Kodiaq. The dealer told me that of the 30 or so Skoda vehicles ordered for stock, showroom and waiting customers, only mine had arrived !! Not a new car in sight.
  4. Ordered a facelift ES on the 3rd June and was later given this week (can't believe it) as the build week by the dealer. This was later confirmed in an email from Skoda UK - still can't believe it. However, I won't be holding my breath...!
  5. Looked yesterday and the New Kodiaq Configurator with prices is up and running on Skoda UK website, but no catalogue or finance offers yet.
  6. Owing to a printing error on an earlier SUK spec list for my new S3 which indicated TSR was part of the L&K spec - and isn't, can it be retro-fitted and if so, how? SUK say no, and don't want to know - small print re errors etc.
  7. Ordered my new L & K 150 diesel estate 8th August Week 32, recently heard through the weekly updates from my dealer that the build week is currently week 45 early November !
  8. Many thanks for your helpful suggestions. I always have the L & K Estate. I am waiting for the Model Year 19 version to appear on the Configurator which should be around week 31 - end of July, beginning of August, as for various reasons the MY start is 10 weeks later than usual. Then I'll be able to see and check the new trim and spec (and the new prices !!)
  9. Having seen both Emerald Green and Velvet Red in the showroom both on Karoq's, I can't decide which would look best on a new Superb Estate I'll be ordering soon. I think I'd also choose a beige interior as it looked great on both. Anyone any thoughts on the matter?
  10. I see that velvet red metallic now costs £900 extra to order. What's so special about this colour and finish? Is it really worth it?
  11. Had to have my heated front screen replaced. Autoglass could not supply, so the dealer ordered a genuine Skoda one and had it fitted. Autoglass, at the time could not re-calibrate the camera either, so this was done by the dealer. The actual cost of the screen and recalibration was mega! I was provided with a courtesy car by the dealer whilst it was done. All agreed through Skoda Insurance with just me having to pay £50 and no penalties.
  12. In the Czech S3 Accessories catalogue the bumper protector 3V9 061 195 is pictured as some sort of silver/grey thick solid plastic item with ribs.
  13. Has anyone tried Skoda's own Superb 3 Combi Rear Bumper Protector, part number 3V9 061 195, as pictured in the S3 accessories catalogue, on their Czech website?
  14. Is there room for an L & K version of the Kodiaq, will one be produced anytime soon?
  15. Skoda themselves appear to produce a combi rear bumper protector for the S3, but it's only available in a silver colour - part number 3V9 061 195 See the Czech site under S3 accessories (it's all in Czech of course complete with picture and part number)
  16. Bought some of this new AG product @ £9.99 over two weeks ago and applied it as directed. It still looks great after all the messy weather we've had since then. Anyone else tried it yet - and with what results?
  17. The Skoda Owners Club will be at this one for the first time. I always go to the Classic Car Show at NEC in November. Most of the detailers are there too. Best to get there as early as possible and get parked near to the halls. Don't forget that parking costs £10 on top of your entrance ticket fee. Another tip is to leave early, if you leave it till late it takes an eternity to get away. You can book online and if you quote code PCRS16C you'll get a club discount ticket for £12.50. Enjoy!
  18. I ordered Skoda Prestige mats with the 'Superb' emblem on them and a grey edge from the dealer at £70. They are a lot better quality than the bland standard quality ones listed on 'factory fit' option at £80. Crackers really!! Prestige mats part number is 3V2 061 404A
  19. At launch Garlands at Aldershot had both a geared hatch and an auto estate. It might be a bit too far to drive for you - but they'll certainly look after you if you make the trip. It's worth giving them a call. I'm delighted with the L&K DSG Estate I got from them a week ago and their customer care.
  20. Collected my Superb III L & K Estate DSG from Garlands just a week ago, having ordered 1st July. It's my second purchase from them. I would heartily commendthem for their friendly yet professional attitude - nothing is too much trouble. Nick W did the deal and David S kept me up to date with progress, or lack of it, with a weekly phone call until handover. I'm glad to be one of their customers.
  21. It really is a very cleverly designed and versatile piece of kit - very well made too!
  22. L&K Estate 2.0L 150 PS DSG Auto in Rosso Brunello Ordered 1st July, mine on 13th October. Brown leather, spare wheel, vent seats, pan roof, v/boot floor, rear camera, smart light assist, travel assist, t/s recognition etc, htd nozzles, 5 year warranty. A lovely car to look at and to drive. Just trying to come to terms with all the tech especially all the 'assists'!
