My Monte Carlo 1.2 Tsi was parked for 3 yrs. Smashed off old actuator and gifted another but back cover broken. Opened original Mahle actuator hoping to use the back cover but has different mechanism. If I can get another part like the one in the picture, then I can get it to work (this one has rusted) It's a long shot, but does anyone have this part, know where I can get it from or even have a Mahle actuator that's not working but has this part intact ?

I had to break mine into pieces and found that this part which was meant to move back and forth with a spring had rusted.

Also, with the new actuator, do I need to fit the shim which was fitted with the old actuator?

My Monte Carlo 1.2 Tsi was parked for 3 yrs. Got pads, discs, battery, service and MOT. Engine light then EPC light showed on dash. Bought new actuator and had a look at Turbo, seems fine. But the rubber pipes which come from crank breather have green gunk in them. Going to clean out and clean MAP sensor. Is there something I'm missing? Also changing PCV as engine shows some blow out.

That's right, someone suggested using a heat glue gun but I'm not sure how effective that would be. Anyway I have bought myself a Skoda yeti now and parked up my Fabia

Wanted to replace the black fabric with same upholstery as the red chequered seats. Can't find any supplier ? Any ideas ?

How long for glue from glue gun to set ?

How do you stick the welds back together ?

I want to change my fabric to leather. Once I dismantle the section that's plastic welded together, how do I re assemble?
