My Monte Carlo 1.2 Tsi was parked for 3 yrs. Smashed off old actuator and gifted another but back cover broken. Opened original Mahle actuator hoping to use the back cover but has different mechanism. If I can get another part like the one in the picture, then I can get it to work (this one has rusted) It's a long shot, but does anyone have this part, know where I can get it from or even have a Mahle actuator that's not working but has this part intact ?

I had to break mine into pieces and found that this part which was meant to move back and forth with a spring had rusted.

Also, with the new actuator, do I need to fit the shim which was fitted with the old actuator?

My Monte Carlo 1.2 Tsi was parked for 3 yrs. Got pads, discs, battery, service and MOT. Engine light then EPC light showed on dash. Bought new actuator and had a look at Turbo, seems fine. But the rubber pipes which come from crank breather have green gunk in them. Going to clean out and clean MAP sensor. Is there something I'm missing? Also changing PCV as engine shows some blow out.

That's right, someone suggested using a heat glue gun but I'm not sure how effective that would be. Anyway I have bought myself a Skoda yeti now and parked up my Fabia

Wanted to replace the black fabric with same upholstery as the red chequered seats. Can't find any supplier ? Any ideas ?

How long for glue from glue gun to set ?

How do you stick the welds back together ?

I want to change my fabric to leather. Once I dismantle the section that's plastic welded together, how do I re assemble?

I have also found that if I reverse, that is when I get fumes and even petrol smell

Car steering wheel has been turning left when I go over bumps. Tracking fine but inner tie /track rods found to have play. Outer track rod ends seem fine. Do I replace both inner and outer or just inner rods ?

For the life of me cannot get any information on how to add an led to my wing mirrors. Do I create connection to existing indicator in the wing or is there an easier option ?

I bought blacklion bu66 tyres 195/45/16 at £45 each which still have high index side walls. I'm pleased with them and good grip when cornering

I changed my 17" wheels to 16" from a Toledo. Tyres now 205/45/16. Feels softer ride but still hard over speed bumps. My old 55plate fabia used to fly over speed bumps at 30mph but still have to slow to 20mph. Car still looks ok but not as nice without the original 17" wheels. I'm aware Skoda did change from 17" to 16" because the ride was too firm. I did change rear springs to standard which made significant difference whilst leaving on the 17" wheels but looked higher at the back. Want to put my 17" wheels back on but just need to know if I can just replace the front springs as I did on the rear or do I need to change the shocks as well ?

Bought lesforder rear springs from GSF. Then fitted 16" wheels off a seat toledo which meant I could use 205/45/16 instead of 205/40/17

Apparently the sports suspension is optional, mine has sport suspension and I recently changed the rear springs to the standard springs which were about 35mm longer and gave a softer ride. I then changed back to the sport ones and definitely firmer gain

Wondered if the vrs springs would fit the Tsi Monte Carlos as a way to reduce ride stiffness ?

A skoda technician told me that the sports suspension is an extra option. He stated that it's the springs that change the ride and not the shocks. I wondered which model Fabia I could get the springs off for a swap. My monte darlo is 61plate. Wonder if I could swap with 61plate vrs springs ?

Hı, I'm hoping to fit an rns 310 amundsen into fabia mks. This is picture of rear of unit. I presume the 2 wires on right are for satellite antena but what is the left wire for ? As it's been cut off.
