  1. Well my time as a Yeti driver has now come to an end. It is now three years ago that I took delivery of my Snow Beast.. I decided on the Yeti after a period of intense investigation, test drive and reliance on the sage advice and reviews on these forums. However the bugger held its value too much and I couldn't afford the buy out.. My firms car leasing scheme, which was heavily subsidised has also changed so put a replacement Yeti in reach.. but financially uncomfortably. I will miss being able to wave at the other Yeti drivers I have happened across over the last 3 years .. Selfishly a part of me is really glad that it is only about 5, such is the elusive (exclusive) nature of the Yeti. It has been a head turner, the only car I have ever had that I have been stopped, on numerous occasions, to be asked on what it is like to drive etc. During the last 3 years, we have had some great snow fall.. ok it was only for a few days each year.. but the 4x4 beast didn't put a foot wrong. And for a few hours each day it was the only car in the firms car park and a fine sight it made. Whoever buys my Yeti will be getting a fantastic, beautiful car. Just hope they have the manners to wave at the others. So back in June, I found myself taking stock of my requirements.. change in family circumstances.. did my research of the whole market.. Worked out I was looking for just a run around, no need for such a big car.. Did test drives ... went to the same in-depth research that I did that ended my up with the Yeti. So although it is goodbye to this Yeti forum, it will be a Big Hello to the Citigo forum. A Citigio Sport (Red) is on order as a factory build and should be with me early October. It was intended to be through the works lease car scheme, but on seeing the dealer for a test drive they offered such a good deal.. So although I am extremely disappointed to see the Yeti go, I am also excited to be getting another, perhaps what some would call a "qwerky" car. Didn't intentionally set out to drive another Skoda Badge but they certainly build the motors that tick all the boxes. Happy motoring folks! Chaz
  2. Hi All, Used the car for the first time today since the problem. Everything worked normally, the phone menu was back and the Yeti connected to the mobile as usual. Hope this is was a one off glitch. mwas123, luckily I have not had problem, hope you manage to get it resolved. Regards Chaz
  3. Many thanks for the advice, I will try both. Very frustrating as I have only had the car for 4 weeks. I guess a call to the dealer might be in order. Will let you know how I get on. Many thanks again. Chaz.
  4. Hi All, I have just had something really bizarre happen, the Bolero in the Yeti has suddenly lost the ability to connect by blue tooth to my phone. It has been quiet happily pairing automatically with my phone and working like a dream from day one. With the MFD quiet happily displaying my Phone's status, battery level etc. Today however, nothing.. there is not even a menu option in the MFD for Phones (which has disappeared), and no option I can see that will turn this back on. My phone will manually pair to the Bolero and the details come up on the head unit, but the MFD still does not display the details or option to display the phone, connect devices etc. It is really strange, has anyone else come across this? Regards Chaz. (Candy White, 110 4x4 Elegance)
  5. Hi All, I have finally taken delivery of my lovely new Yeti today! White, 110 4x4 Elegance. I can not believe that it was in March that I decided on getting one for when my lease expired in July.. I am so pleased that I waited, it was worth it. What a fantastic motor! Regards Chaz
  6. I am most happy to wait my turn; I just wish that the dealer would pull their finger out and make a commitment to the deal. My car should have been a confirmed order by now. I will hopefully get some news next week. Chaz
  7. A while back I posted to this board that I had decided to get a Yeti. My Lease Car Manager got the approval of the Directors; the lease company (very big and reputable) have the money burning a hole in their pockets. (The scheme is a Local Government Lease Car Scheme.) However, my Yeti has not been ordered by the Dealer. They seem reluctant to do business with the Lease Company. This is the first time that my Lease Car Manager has ever come across this; the dealer is sitting on the fence and will not commit either way. Two weeks down the line the lease company will now give up on this dealer and will approach another. I am sure I will get my Yeti eventually, however my current lease runs out the first week of July, this 2 week delay will be cutting it fine. I am totally un-impressed with the Dealer. When I went for the test drive, the sales representative showed a distinct lack of interest in me when I explained that It would be a lease car, but I did explain that the order would be placed through the dealership. They must be doing so well that they can afford to pick and choose who they supply cars to! They are now going to lose the sale. I really hope that I can get confirmation soon that my Yeti is definitely on its way. I have never felt this excited about a car before! Fingers crossed. Chaz
  8. Hi All, Many thanks for the very warm welcome that you gave me on my last post. I have now put in my request to my lease car manager. Going for the Candy White, 2.0 (110) 4x4, Elegance. Wasn't intending on having park assist, but at the last minute I was given a quote that meant I could have it without any additional cost to me. Granted, I could have saved a few quid each month but I do like a Gadget Current car needs to be exchanged on the 5th July; hopefully this should give enough time for production etc. It will seem like a long time waiting! Kind regards Chaz Chaz.
  9. Hi All, What can I say? This is the first time that I have been excited by getting a new car. I am very fortunate to get a brilliant lease deal from my employer, my Ford Focus requires replacing and I had to set about choosing a replacement. After in-depth research on the web, reading, "What Car" etc... I find myself totally smitten by the Yeti. I could not tell you when I discovered it; it just seems to have worked its way in my sub-conscience. I then found this website and all these brilliant posts. They mean more, in my opinion than any review from a journalist. I should be getting back the last details of the costs tomorrow on the various spec’s that I have requested. I know for sure that I will be getting one.. .. However the order needs to be placed now for a 1st week of July hand over, when my current contract runs out. (Fingers crossed it all works out for those time scales.) After the Test Drive, I now hate driving the Focus…. Roll on July!! Many thanks to you all for your excellent contributions, advice and enthusiasm, I knew it was a brilliant car on paper. But you all brought the Yeti to life for me. Bring on the Snow Monster!! Kind regards Chaz
