  1. Meh, redesigned bumpers, faster USB charging and wee power boost for VRS. Will probably end up ordering one in 2024 haha.
  2. Hope friendly forum members can help with my request. For health reasons, I've not been able to drive my vrs for the last five months. All being well, I should be behind the wheel again end October. Car has been garaged since easter and not moved an inch. As expected the battery has gone flat and I cannot open the car via keyless technology! In simple terms, how do I (a) get into the car and (b) recharge the battery. Happy to buy a battery charger from Amazon if someone can direct me to the right make/model. Great if someone can give me the a wee steer and what steps I need to take. Obviously I have been focusing on improving my health over the summer. Thanks in advance.
  3. Agree styling of lights weren't best looking but they performed flawlessly along with rest of car - and that's what matters to me. Cheers.
  4. Goodby old VRS, hello new VRS - first impressions, brilliant - a big step up!
  5. Ordered moon white 245 manual estate 14 June 2021 - with panoramic roof and front winter pack. Picking up 31 January 2022. Told new vrs orders is 13 month wait. Pics to follow...

  7. I understand the delays to new car production and challenges facing the sector - what I find really strange is the lack of any narrative or analysis by the motoring journals - AutoExpress and WhatCar. You'd never know there was a major manufacturing problem reading these publications. Just proves they are more about printing glossy adverts for the manufacturers and drumming up future trade.
  8. Sick. Ordered something similar on 15 June 2021 - manual 245 estate with sunroof and front winter pack. Sadly, no sign of car and no news! Enjoy!
  9. Want the best performing and better looking hatchback get a GTI, want the best performing and better looking estate get a VRS. Simples.
  10. In the UK, current VRS cars get the virtual pedal as standard which includes electrically operated luggage compartment cover. My VRS had a confirmed build week of mid-July and is *slowly* going through the production stages (according to Skoda UK) due to COVID-19 and chip shortage. So don't know if I am getting the virtual pedal or not.
  11. What does this mean as previous estate luggage covers were very much manual operation! I might be missing something here.
  12. Think the colour works best with appropriate black body stickers and roof wrap as above. Might be too much 'green' without.
  13. Thanks all - ordered from bootsliners.co.uk before I saw Tishout reply.
  14. Cheapest and more fun - manual petrol. That's what I have ordered which is to be built next week (incl panoramic roof and front winter pack). Four year PCP. Can see me ordering an all electric next time though when tech has been refined and improved. Meantime 245 petrol is efficient enough - got 42mpg out of a long run. It'll be quite a while before fossil fuel cars and petrol stations disappear.
  15. Just a quick question - will be trading in my MkIII estate for a MkIV estate shortly. Will my existing MkIII plastic boot dish fit the MkIV? Cheers.
  16. In bright sunlight moon white really pops and shines. In dull conditions it looks a bit flat.
  17. I wonder if it is just a marketing/English language thing - mamba and hyper mean different things in different markets.
  18. VRS estate price has risen by £640 (petrol/manual) and in compensation you get paint and virtual pedal included.
  19. Phoned garage - currently in build week 26 and scheduled for build week 29.
  20. Ordered white manual petrol VRS estate today with panoramic sunroof and winter pack - expected in three months time. Trade-in (mark III facelift) fixed at £1,000 more than offered last month but new car discount £500 less - so still £500 up from last month. Thought it would be rude not to place an order! Had thought about ordering a Golf GTI but Golf looked a bit wee and salesman said would take 7 months for a bog standard (performance) one. Prefer pace and space of Octavia estate. This will be my fourth vrs over the years.
