  1. Hi Luke.

    They're 2 piece, but not vented 300mm.

We have a set on the shelf, it includes the grooved bells with rotors and carrier adaptors to space the caliper out.

I can offer the kit out for £460 delivered.

    Thanks

    Kevin

  2. Hi Lee.

What code comes up when the CEL pops up?

We're just catching up with enquires after getting back from a motorsport show in Cologne so apologies for the delay.

    Thanks

    Kevin

  3. Now that I live 5 minutes away from work I'm finding it really hard to justify keeping the diesel Fabia in favour of something newer, petrol, with DSG.

  4. However I have two questions:

    1) Is the engine running a completely standard camshaft?

    2) Have the standard injectors been modified in any way?

    The camshaft is completely standard.

The standard injectors are as they left the factory. No modifications.

There's no point modifying a part and not charging the customer for it, if we'd changed or modified something it'd be on their invoice.

The only "addition" to the fuel system is the water/meth kit. On diesel only runs we usually see 250-260bhp, this was our fuelling limit and the addition of water/methanol usually shows up to a 10bhp gain.

  5. Fabdavrav raises a valid point, one which many people seem to overlook. We're talking about 2 completely different set-ups here, which in effect offers 2 very different efficiency engines.

    See here:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volumetric_efficiency

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Engine_efficiency

For example, injecting 70mg/stroke of diesel in one engine with a certain setup isn't guaranteed to create the same power as an engine with a completely different setup. Just because the fuel quantity injected is the same doesn't mean the power will be.

These kind of topics seem to be going around in roundabouts and coming back to the same conclusion, at least now, a brand new, proven rolling road has produced the figures we have been claiming..
