  1. The car has only covered 25,000 miles , we bought it brand new in 2010 surely there will not be problem with the suspension
  2. The tracking is Ok Skoda checked it and Kwikfit , the car has only covered 25,000 miles from new . the original tyres lasted well and because I was a bit strapped for cash I put cheap and cheerfull Nexen's on which although still legal there noticeably wearing on the outside N/S front I put it down to the heavy 1.9 diesel in a small car and the power stearing
  3. I need new tyres for my Fabia , the originals were continental which lasted for 20,000 miles but I replaced them with Nexen 6000's which have not lasted and are worn on the outside edge badly and have only covered 5000 miles even though the tracking is Ok . Suggestion please for a reasonably priced mid range tyre that will last a bit longer .
  4. You dont live in Yorkshire by chance ???????? Seriously to even consider syphoning a few gallons of petrol out is downright tightfistedness .
  5. I wouldnt bother as its not worth the hassle .
  6. The headlamps on my Fabia Sport are not very good especially on full beam . I'm of to Halfords tomorrow can anyone suggest which bulbs would improve the beam pattern and increase the brightness .
  7. Yes it may be for sale later this year First reg 4/1/2010 and only 23000 on the clock at present with full service history carried out by main VW dealer and also Skoda supplying dealership
  8. The low temperature audible warning on my fabia stopped working although the display still flashes . I have recently reset the service indicator could this have anything to do with it
  9. Hi Guys I been scouring the manual and can't find anything to tell me when the cambelt should be changed . Our Fabia Tdi Sport 1.9 is 4 years old in January 2014 but has only covered 20k do I need to change it ?
  10. Some Numpty of a neighbor stopped " Her in Doors" this morning and asked if she could jump start his old clapped out Peugeot , the f.....g clown has broken the cover of the + terminal . Anyone know the part number for a replacement or how much it would cost steve
  11. Thanks Guys I will get it changed within the next 6 months well within the 4 year advisory time limit .
  12. Can someone advise me when I need to change the cambelt on my Fabia Sport 1.9 Tdi it will be 3 years old next month
  13. My view is that when towing at 100% match should you experience any serious instability which could happen to the most careful of drivers even when your caravan is evenly loaded the chances of recovering from such an incident will be less than if your towcar has a weight advantage of 15-20% over the loaded caravan. Regardless of how experienced you may think you are at towing this can happen and there's no substitute for having a heavier towing vehicle
  14. I'm well aware of the guidelines for towing being a C.C member for 17 years however your present car / caravan combination would be seen as a poor match by both the C.C and the C&CC as your towing at close to a 100% match and although legal as its within the Yeti's towing capacity still not a good combination . I tow a similar weight van at 1.5 tons MPTLM and dismissed the Yeti as far to light opting for a heavier tow car at 1710kg kerbweight
  15. If you exceeded the max towing weight of your Passat you effectively rendered yourself open to Prosecution by towing above the 1400kg figure. and you say " Common sense should be applied"
  16. Yes its the PD engine , whats involved in fitting
  17. Would it work on a Mk2 Fabia 1.9tdi 105bhp sport
  18. Hi can anyone tell me if my Fabia Tdi Sport whichs is 2 years and 10 months old is still covered for assistance while abroad
  19. My Fabia Tdi Sport is 3 years old on the 5th January next year and has covered 16000 trouble free miles , is it worth extending the warranty ? Does Skoda use a 3rd party warranty or is it there own ? Finally can anyone tell me how much I would have to Pay ? comments please
  20. Women are poor drivers when it come's to judging distances " Fact" if my other half damaged my alloy wheel's I'd make her pay for the repair
  21. Sorry but this sort of thing can happen in any make cars , just pay for the repair or do without Aircon as your wasting your time through SMC or SOG . Why do people expect accidental damage to be covered under warranty ? after all its just that Accidental damage and there's nothing you could have done to avoid this .
  22. Its pretty nerve racking as I remember , did mine in 82 and passed first time (Class 1) but the insructor then told me that checking your mirrors every 8 seconds was neccesary . I'm not renewing mine after it expires as I don't drive HGVs anymore and have no wish to do so but in my 20s and 30s I really enjoyed the job especially driving Abroad . Good luck with your next test
