  1. Thank you so much guys, just replaced my sensor (cost me £80). Removed the oil filter cap to give a little more space for my hands, broke the top clip off and sensor then came away easily. Hardest bit was getting the electrical plug free - small grey clip slides to release but then a fair bit of effort and leverage to get plug away from sensor. Once all put back together no recoding attempted or required . Four weeks later and the error has not come back!
  2. Hi, looks like I have same issue. There is mention of needing to recode the sensor to the ECM? Is this the case or can I just swap a new sensor in and leave it at that??
  3. Agreed, wheel speed sensor.... same happened to me.
  4. There is another thread somewhere. Several people, myself included have used CR2032 batteries. They are marginally deeper but still fit ok and they seem to solve the issue...
  5. Yep, hasn't missed a beat in my L & K.
  6. It is required. There is an offence of 'quitting' - it is an offence to leave a car unattended unless the engine is stopped and the handbrake is effectively set.... (only applies on a road or public place, not whilst you are on your driveway obviously)
  7. In that case then there obviously aren't any near me as I only get main dealers come up!
  8. Euroskoda is the same company as Azur - or at least it used to be so wasn't really inclined to use them but thanks anyway!
  9. Sorry, I don't seem to get that option on the website?
  10. Sorry, what do you mean by a service centre? Any particular ones?
  11. Was hoping for something a little closer to Chichester but thank you anyway. Had enough of the rip off prices at my local dealer. Was trying to get my mother's Citigo serviced. It does about 1000 miles a year and only really needs an oil change and MOT (plus you could also argue brake fluid but I was going to leave an extra year). They want just short of £300 based on the new servicing tariffs!!! Must have stated three times I only wanted an oil service -"that will be our minor service at £185 Sir!" No, I don't want the minimal number of cursory checks that you will do for that - I just want an oil change. "Yes, sir, that's our minor service..." and so it went on. In the end I told them I'd go elsewhere! My mum, in her late 70's, would have just accepted all the bull**** and paid up. My Octy is due in a few months - and according to the fancy new service matrix needs pretty much everything for about £420 - under the old tariffs it would have been £329.... sorry but that is too much.
  12. Hi, Can anyone recommend a decent independent garage for servicing in West Sussex or East Hampshire.... lost faith in the Skoda dealer I have been using...!! Thanks.
  13. Use CR2032 replacements instead of CR2025... I had exactly the same issue - the 2032's are marginally bigger and seem to fit better. They are a tighter fit but the key cover will go back on fine. However, I have found that whilst the first set lasted about six years all subsequent sets only seem to last for six months or so (in both my keys) - no idea why this should be. Always use decent Duracell replacements...
