  1. I am selling a set of 4 Octavia Spiders that have been powder coated in sparkle white in near perfect cosmetic condition, there’s no kerb damage but there is a bit of staining from brake dust from the front two wheels. However, 2 of the wheels are buckled and will need reshaping to be 100% perfect, that said they’ve balanced up okay and you only notice a shake at motorway speeds and above. 1 tyre will need to be replaced (irreparable puncture) but apart from that they’re all matching Maxxis all season tyres in really good condition with lots of tread. Centre caps not included. £450 o.n.o
  2. Keep your eye out for a non-vrs Fabia 1.9tdi. I found a 2006 elegance model with 28,000 miles on it and it was like a time warp.

Wow, talk about a thread resurrection! I’d also be interested if anything materialises.
  4. Was there ever a definitive answer on what worked for changing the number plate lamps from standard to LED? Ive had a good search and there seems to be a lot of mixed information and links that no longer work. Is there a plug and play OEM alternative as I don’t want cheap Chinese rubbish off eBay if I can help it.
  5. Excellent, I’m glad to hear it, Mike. Thanks for putting me in touch with them both.
  6. I’m pleased to say this has sold to a Briskoda member 😃
  7. It’s been a great car for us! I’ve got it advertised on Autotrader for £1475 but I’ve been a member on here for 15 years and I’ve had my fair share of good deals over the years so it’s time to give something back to the forum.
  8. Includes roof rails Brand new genuine alternator, not a refurb.
  9. Brand new genuine alternator and auxiliary belt in April 2025 Loads of paperwork with previous MOT history and invoices for services and repairs. It has been a great, reliable family car for us over the last couple of years comfortably doing 20,000 miles per year without any issues. It doesn’t use any oil between services and has 4 matching Goodyear Vector all season tyres with plenty of life left in them. As you can see in the pictures it has started to rust in places and the suspension is strarting to show its age but overall it’s still a great car with the legendary 1.9tdi which returns superb MPG (we recently got 68mpg on a 4 hour trip to Scotland). MOT until MARCH ‘26 Briskoda price: £1200. Located near Leeds.
  10. Does it have cruise control, I’m half considering a yeti for the wife but it needs cruise.
  11. What does Motorway or WBAC offer?
  12. For future reference:
  13. What did you get for the car at auction out of interest? Its a shame I wasn’t in the market for a car at the time yours was for sale, I’ve always liked these.
  14. I’ve just had this done our 2005 estate. Replaced the rear caliper and handbrake cable and all is good.
  15. Make me an offer I can't refuse 😉
  16. She's amazing, I keep contemplating on getting rid of her and getting something more practical because of the baby but I just can't do it. It's absolutely faultless.
  17. I'm too busy changing nappies 🙈
  18. I flogged my VRS to buy my 'dream car' which turned out to be a nightmare, I was given the opportunity to buy back my VRS but the guy I sold it to smoked in the car which was a real shame. I'm now knocking about in Trevors 1.8T fantasy green 'comfort spec' Fabia that he built and I can't fault it. I desperately need something more practical having just had our first child but I can't bring myself to sell it - it's the best car I've ever had! I've used it for trips to Cornwall, Scotland, Isle of Skye, I've had a Tentbox on the roof of it, it's been my daily driver for almost 2 years, it's brilliant, I absolutely love the thing! People at work think I'm crackers and ask if I've got another car "so is that green thing just your work car". I'll certainly be keeping mine on the road for as long as possible!
  19. Cheers, yes, it's Trevor's old car. I've had it just over a year now and it's been brilliant.
  20. I did make it quite clear in the first post that I don't have a VRS (my username is probably 10+ years old back from when I did have a VRS). I do miss my old VRS but I dare say my current Fabia is better in some ways. Really I need to get rid and buy something more suitable hence me asking about towbars but I can't bring myself to sell it, it's too good and there's absolutely no faults with the car whatsoever. That's a picture of my original Fabia VRS when I bought it in 2009.
  21. I've literally just stumbled upon that in the 'recent pics thread' I'll keep looking.
  22. Evening all. I've spent the last half an hour or so searching the forum some advice on towbars but all I can find is info on the VRS. (Mine isn't a VRS) I'm considering fitting a towbar but I'd ideally not want to spoil the look of it so I was considering a detachable towbar but if I have to cut the bumper then is it worth just going with a swan neck. Does anybody have a picture of their towbar please so I can get an idea of how it would look.
  23. 3000 miles in and It's been absolutely brilliant. It gets loads of comments from random people too.
  24. Earlier today somewhere in the Peak District.
