Never seen much more than 30mpg in 1000 miles, almost all on an easy 15 mile run to the station and endless trips from dealer (about 20 miles) - usually it goes to the dealer on the back of a tow truck. 2.0 SE, 110 bhp, 2wd, patchy grey metallic, ordered with spare wheel but wheel 'lost' by dealer.

I think I'll be going down the same route, my rattles from places you wouldn't know you could get rattles. Plus it keeps breaking down and consumes fuel and oil like there is no tomorrow. Will there ever be a day when it all works? Not in my ownership. The financial hit in trading an 8 week old car is, frankly, nothing to the revenue the wretched thing has already cost me and my business.

Because in the 8 weeks I've had it I've had nothing but grief from it, breakdowns, bad build and hopeless service. Normally I cover 30,000 miles a year, this thing has just reached 1,000 after 8 weeks - the rest of the time it's been off the road or the trips have been too important to my business to risk using it. Reckon you got off light mate, my experience with the Yeti has been abysmal.

The implication is that the 4x4 is somehow 'better' than the 2wd. If you actually need a 4wd rather than a 2wd then if you bought the former you may well have wished you'd bought the latter. In my case if I'd needed a 4wd I'd have bought one but if I'd bought a 4wd I probably would not have bought a yeti. Do I wish I'd bought something other than a Yeti 2wd? Definitely.

Unique means there is just one not that they are scarce, you don't get degrees of unique-ness!
