Had a phone call from Redditch this morning, was Johnsons call centre asking if I wanted to book My Citigo in for its first service.Had this with the i10 I had last year you think you are talking to the dealer in Liverpool but you are actually talking to some one near Birmingham.It wasnt until I put the phone down I realised they quoted £181 for the service,I then emailed Lawries/Johnsons in Liverpool asking to confirm the price.20 minutes later I get a phone call from Redditch confirming £181,I then informed them their own website quotes £159.They agreed to match this price. I don't know if the days of going into Lawries/Johnsons at a moments notice with your car are over because they do like everthing to go through Redditch first now that Johnsons have taken over.

One of the down sides of buying a GTI is dealing with VW dealerships, have had bad experiences in the past with them.

Only 2 trims for the Mii,FR and Design 5 door only and hardly any options to pick from.The Mii is lingering on by its finger tips.Must admit if I was in the market for a SUV the Arona 1.0 TSI would top of My list.

Just had a look on the Up! Owners website and people who have ordered the GTI are now being quoted June for their build dates!.

The Seat Mii seems to be on its last legs,5 door only hardly any options to choose from.

Auto express have just finished running an Up! Beats TSI on their test fleet,absolutey loved the car but one final comment caught My eye-'Its no secret that the VW group has the Up!,as well as its Seat Mii and Skoda Citigo sister models under the microscope.While the trio share underpinnings, margins in this class are really tight, with not much profit in these cars.However,it would be a real shame if the Up! is killed off.'

The GTI is now up on the VW website,took them long enough.

Had a look on the VW UK website and the GTI is nowhere to be seen, today was suppose to be when the order book opens for the model.

Going by the brochure Citigos above S spec will have 3 dials,going by the on line configurator the cars will have one dial.Certainly confusing.Look forward to see what Michaelski has on his car today.

Fingers crossed for tomorrow then,will be interesting to see what you get.

When I pe/exd My Sport I gave the car back with the PID,sadly some owners kept the unit and posted them on EBay etc.

Possibly to encourage you to spend £230 on the Trip Computer?..

This is the point I was trying to make but I suspect Skoda has changed the spec’ recently without telling anybody and new builds are now shipping with a single speedo.But then again who knows?.

Black Editions came with the PID as standard.

Have to agree,bit of a shambles on Skoda’s behalf,come on Skoda UK Pull your socks up.

Must be a recent change then,just noticed on the configurator the release handle for the bonnet has moved to the drivers side of the car.

Had a look on Auto Trader and all the latest face lift models have the 3 dials as standard.See what you mean on the Skoda configuration though so I don’t know,got Me confused now!.

But it specifically say in the brochure 'From SE upwards dials also feature a rev counter and fuel gauge'.As per usual the dealers do not know what they are talking about!.
