I am a Skoda Sales Executive and this has been passed to us directly from the Czhech Republic... Read it very carefully. It outlines skoda's new 10 year growth strategy. Although all is not as it seems. Can they really be basing the growth of our beloved brand based on something akin to an iron eating fungus !!! The report was issued in front of several hundred Skoda managers from all over the world by Škoda Auto’s new Chairman of the Board of Directors, Professor Dr Winfried Vahland. if you get bored with the initial blurb the worrying bit is under the boldly titled Growth and Strategy at heart of plans.....Enjoy The Skoda "RS" Growth Strategy..... Dr Vahland announced the new Škoda RS plan, which aims to double the number of cars the company sells worldwide by 2020. Stressing that Škoda is one of the pillars of the Volkswagen Group, Dr Vahland said the brand’s aim was to become even bigger. “I am proud of the achievements Škoda has made over the past 20 years,” he said. “Nonetheless… we must not content ourselves with the achieved results “We have all the potential for a big step forward. Škoda is strong, we are part of the world’s most successful automotive group, markets are recovering worldwide, the crisis seems to be over and we are experiencing a boom in some markets that would until recently have been unimaginable. Let’s make full use of this potential to move Škoda forward and let’s set challenging goals together. I know we are up to it. Just a quick note on the fabia vRS fuel consumption that everybody is getting tizzy about. we have had the car on the road for a little while now and is doing a genuine (not trip computer) 44 mpg (combined) which means the literature isnt to far out @ 45.6 mpg. Also took the car to maidstone as most of you know and that tank of fuel worked out @ 57 mpg which is not bad but i must stress that was based on just that tank of juice.

Hello Guys Glad to hear that you all liked the car, and, no real negatives were pointed out. The sales of the car have really taken off. Although obviously i can only talk for Hayes Garage. The car is to be taken to VAG event in Essex in the coming weeks. Im sure the DUB guys will like this car just as much. Thank you once again. Barry

Hi All Just a quick reminder with regards to bringing the vRS to Maidstone on Saturday.(dont panic im still coming) The graphics are being applied today so may not be in their entirity i.e. not all sponsor logos will be on the car. However it will look, with exception to the hugely wide wheel arches, like the rallye car as much as can be expected. I have seen the graphics come of the press and they look the business. I currently only have Matt Bodycombe confirmed to me to drive the car i have 4 spots left with a reserve space also up for grabs im sure you all know who you are but can you please confirm to me your name. Yeah i hate to sound boring about driving the car but seeing as we wont get another demo for a while im sure you can appreciate the care that needs to be taken. i Shall look out for you when i arrive

Hi to all that read this. My name is Barry Sippitt. I will be the chap bringing the NEW Fabia vRS along on 31/7/10. May i start by thanking you guys for the invite and opportunity to show off this fantastic new addition to the vastly expanding Skoda arsenal. To clear up a few things. I will be holding 5 test drives on the evening. The organiser of the event will inform me as to who these people are by no later than Friday. Any body lucky enough to be one of the 5 on the night will be required to bring their driving liscence (both card and paper if a new style liscence) of which you must also have photocopied for us to keep for our own insurance records. I appreciate that the event will be taking place at a pub, so i must stress, that i will refuse any of the lucky 5 a test drive if i have any suspicion at all that they have been drinking(no matter how little). The test drives will last for approx 10 mins. The car will be respected. Contrary to popular belief not all retailers have a Fabia vRS their is only something like 30 in the whole country between 150 retailers. All test drives will be stopped and the car will be taken away if any body drives eratically i.e. excessive speed, wheel spins etc etc. Also contrary to popular belief retailers could not pick and choose what type of spec they had on their vRS demonstrators. The one you will see is Rallye Green, with Black 17" Gigaro alloy wheels, Cruise Control, MDI, Rear Parking sensors and the all important spare wheel. This car however is the only one in the country with the Skoda UK iRC rallye Graphics kit fitted. I am coming all the way from Clacton on sea so i apologise in advance if i arrive late. I aim to be there by 7:30 traffic permitting. I thoroughly look forward to meeting every one and i am chuffed to bits with the response on here. This is an exciting release for Skoda and we are happy to make you all part of it. I have driven the car as have a small selection of our local customers and not one negative comment has been made about the car, im sure that will not change this weekend.
