Sorry fella, thought there was a general kinda answer. No idea in terms of specific headunits, what features would I need to still use the aux? Sorry for sounding dumb but ICE isn't my strong point.

Thanks for replying Tim. What is the reasoning behind no more than a 20bhp increase when on other forums there are practically no limits and you still insure them. I've had insurance with you guys on a Focus ST that had an excess of around 60bhp increase (and that's on a car with more bhp as standard in the first place). It just doesn't add up or seem as competative.

What are the most commonly used remaps on the Octavia CR 170 vRS, I've seen "Shark" on a few pages, plus there is the widely know Superchips, but what others are used ? I'm not interested in opinions around which ones are best etc as those opinions will be massively subjective. This forum doesnt appear to have a comprehensive guide to tuning (if it does then please point me in the right direction), so I'm struggling to find the info I want via just the search function.

Can I just confirm this, no more than 20bhp increase? A single remap will give more than 20bhp on a car with a turbo. Is this definitely correct? Or do you mean no more than 200bhp increase?

Good evening everyone, I'm in the process of purchasing a 57 plate Octavia vRS, which I am picking up next Saturday. I sold my Focus ST last week, she was pushing around 285bhp after numerous mods and much learning from the Focus STOC, but 3 kids and a mortgage means I need something more appropriate to my lifestyle and the Diesel/Performance combo that the 170 vRS gives is ideal. I wont really be contributing much on here to begin with, will be in the background reading up on the world of the vRS, I'm sure there are some very knowledgable people on here who I can learn a great deal from. I first got drawn to the vRS after having a play with one up a slip road one afternoon, I was quite suprised by how swiftly it made ground and I really had to give it the beans to get in front.
