Booked car in to have suspension bushes replaced, received phone call a couple of days before the date saying the parts hadn't arrived. Rearranged the date for 8 days later.
Took it in at the appointed time (11.00 am) only to be told they would be running slightly late but it would be done that day, OK no problem with that. At 3.45 pm phone call, "Can't do it today, can you come in and collect it and re-arrange date". on collecting the car was told they couldn't do it for a week.
I politely refused and told them I would go elsewhere. Brownie points to me for remaining calm throughout.
I will be sending a letter of complaint to both Skoda and the dealer in due course this is really poor customer service and makes a mockery of the Quality Policy displayed proudly on their door.

I have exactly the same problem.. Same car/model/year, same door. I've tried fiddling with the plastic contacts in the door frame at the back of the front door - no joy yet. I'll keep trying.

Sorry to hear that Steve. Hope we both get sorted soon.

Assuming the child locks aren't engaged and also
assuming it isn't deadlocked too wouldn't two pulls on the internal handle open the door?
Or does that just work on the fronts?
Thanks for suggestion grrr will give that a try tomorrow.

Hi I need some help/advice.
I have 2003 1.2 Fabia Classic. Yesterday the central locking on the rear near side door failed leaving the door permanently LOCKED. Have tried various combinations of locking/unlocking other doors but it refuses to budge.
Any ideas, bearing in mind that I can't get the door open to fiddle with its innards.
All (sensible) suggestions gratefully recieved.
Cheers

Engine needs 3 new valves, is this unusual?
in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
Posted
Just had the head taken off my engine by a Skoda dealer. The intake valves are in pretty poor nick, 1 valve chipped and leaking, 1badly worn and 3rd in poor condition so may as well be replaced. Its a 2003 Fabia 1.2 Classic (6 valve) with 58,000 on the clock.
Has anyone else had a similar experience?
Is this a common fault or have I got the fabled "Friday Afternoon Monster from Hell"?
Could this problem be indicative of some other fault?
Cheers
