Build Times for new Karoq
The good thing is that things seem to be moving. My Karoq on paper is estimated to be delivered next week, but that is obviously not the case. Just hoping to drive away in october now.

Best upholstery cleaner (for dog puke)
Autosmart biobrisk is what you want for removing puke smells from cars. I also use it for when my toddler projectile chunders Over the carpet. You can find it on ebay

Build Times for new Karoq
I had a marketing email today from Skoda UK (won’t lie, my heart jumped a bit as I thought it was a meaningful update on my order). Alas, it was a tone deaf marketing email that was basically promoting Enyaq.

Karoq rear seats
From a legal perspective, it will have been type approved to carry 5 people, hence it has the middle seat belt. Skoda aren’t lying. From a realistic perspective, it’s 5 people in a pinch. It’s a 4 adult seater in reality. Skoda even emphasise that with the varioflex seats that allow you to remove the middle to make it comfortable for 4 adults in the back. Ultimately, the decision is down to you. I wouldn’t want to carry 3 of me in the back for any length of time!

My thoughts confirmed. Virtual Cockpit seems to be holding up a lot of orders!

Out of curiosity, what is your spec? Mine is an SEL with ACC and the family pack.

Dealer confirmed today that my week 33 build car was started last week and is now “incomplete” due to microchip shortages. So probs being shipped to a field

Waiting for a new car?
Well, Skoda chat confirmed that although my car had a build week of 33, it is delayed. They dont know by how much. So I think I should just wait a couple of weeks and contact the dealer then. Although the Skoda chat are very helpful, they seem to think that the dealers have more information - not sure how true that is. I guess they just pull up the same system and look at the status code!

Build Times for new Karoq
About 3 days after the order was placed at the dealers, I had an email directly from Skoda. Says something like "thanks for your order, we ill shortly be building your car" and you get a primitive set of statues. With VW or Audi I think you can go to their sites, put your order number in and it comes up, but Skoda send you updates. This is mine - hoping for an updated one this week:

Build Times for new Karoq
My car is apparently meant to be built this week 33 (confirmed by Skoda chat), I keep waiting for the ping of the tracking email to pop into my inbox, but I am not getting my hopes up as I don't know how timely those emails really are.

Waiting for a new car?
Just adding my bit to this. Ordered 30th June (Karoq SEL 1.5 DSG with ACC and Family Pack) Order form says estimated delivery of September 16th. Skoda email saying 'order received' on Friday July 2nd Build week confirmed for week 33 (w/c August 16th). I actually tried to amend the order to add canton, but dealer said order was locked in and Skoda UK chat confirmed build week too. So I'm expecting delivery sometime in September / early October. Skoda chat said 5-7 weeks for delivery from build date. So there might be hope yet, or my configuration was sufficiently in stock. I could have had the car even sooner apprently if I ordered it in Petrol Blue, but wasn't to my taste. (I chose Quartz Grey).

Four months update Sel 1.5 Karoq.
Ordered 30th July. Build slot confirmed for next week.

Four months update Sel 1.5 Karoq.
RainX is great in the beginning, but is a massive pain when it goes smeary after a while, nigh on ruins the windscreen. I’ll have an SEL delivered in a month or so, if I get the juddery wipers, I’ll just put aerotwins on.

Karoq infotainment requires activation
"Before disconnecting the battery, close the electric tailgate, all the windows, the sliding / tilting roof and the electric sunshade - otherwise malfunctions of equipment elements may occur." Pretty standard for any car really.

Karoq infotainment requires activation
I’d be pulling the battery to the car to completely reset everything then re-test. Alternatively, just let the dealer fix it, that’s what the warranty is for.

Karoq Amundsen with multiple phones - what's it like?
Thanks, exactly what I wanted to know! Doesn't sound like too much hassle. Sadly, I didn't order the VC, it was a bit too much cost wise, and I really wanted the ACC so specced that. Interestingly, the SEL doesn't come with wireless charging, it was an eye watering £270 option. Something I will retrofit once the car is out of warranty. That said, I am hoping the basic nav signs show up in the standard cluster for Apple Maps. No real problem if it doesn't, but might be nice.

Karoq Amundsen with multiple phones - what's it like?
Hello All, I have a brand new Karoq SE-L with the Amundsen infotainment on order for September. The car is going to be equally used between myself and my wife, and we are mainly CarPlay users. Can anyone share any experience of what it is like using multiple phones with the car? My concern is that I don't want to be faffing disconnecting the wife's phone from bluetooth if she's the passenger, and vice versa every time we are in the car together. Does the system allow you to implicitly select a phone to connect via smart link, or are we better off just connecting via USB-C ? Is there some form of user profile function I'm not aware of perhaps? (I should also say that I own a legitimate VCDS HEX-CAN if that can enable anything...) Thanks for any advice!
