  1. Has any one done a guide or has some photos of how to do the rear seats please? I bolted the fronts straight into my Mk1 VR-s, but the rears (from 5dr Mk3 Monte) look completely different.
  2. I used H&R springs and some Sport Tec (I’m think that’s what they are called) from Orange Tuning in Germany. Landed in NZ the shocks were $398NZD for the set. Great set up on NZ roads, which aren’t exactly flat. iv e used this setup for last 5yrs or so and never needed/wanted to change. Even done some track days on them.
  3. Does anyone have a PDF of the original fitting guide please?
  4. My VR-s has a squeal (like a slipping belt) coming from the back center to left of the engine bay (warm or cold) when engine RPM is at 1300 to 2100 when driving and 1900 - 2100 when parked, clutch in or out. When driving if I keep the RPM steady around 2000 I can keep the squeal going. So any ideas? EGR valve? vacuum line? or Turbo on the way out? Car has a stage 2 ECU tune, single mass flywheel (rattle, rattle) has done 105kms (65miles) and is on its original turbo.
  5. Awesome guys, thank you Hadn't thought about putting film on the fogs. Would heat be an issue?
  6. We have a really good tread regarding codes, but does anyone have a list of the available accessories? VAG Parts used to be awesome, picture and a part number; plus great prices. I am looking for items like head light covers for the mains and fogs (if Skoda ever did them). I had a great set on my Pug 306Gti-6, and I have just been through another fog light on the Fab's due to road works :( There is a local VAG parts importer who tries to help, but I really need to go to them with a part number. Any help / lists would be great.
  7. Bhp: 170 Milage: 95,000kms (approx 57,000 miles) Milage since map: 60,000kms (approx 36,000 miles) Egr blocked/disabled: No Elephant mod (ccv): No Other mods: k+n panel, PD160, MTM stg 2 ECU Turbo replaced/orginal: original
  8. Found the problem! Bit of a strange one, and that looks like it has been there for a little while, may be since new. The flange on the flange nut holding the change mechanism wasn’t thick enough, so that when it was tightened up it would get to the end of the thread on the gearbox selector shaft and not actually tighten up on the top of the counter weight. Hence the counter weight was flopping around on the splines that hold it in place. Always thought the gear change was a bit loose. With a bit of wear in the cables, splines and the bottom of the flange nut it was enough to prevent it from getting into first. New flange nut and readjust the cables again and job done; and now I have a transformed gear change
  9. Awesome. I've given the cable adjustment a go and that improved the general change, but still no first gear; so out with the brake bleeder
  10. Hi, I had a quick search and couldn't find anything on the topic, but has anyone had issues with selecting first gear? I drive up to a set of lights, or otherwise stop, go to select first and the gear level won't go in. It's like I'm trying to go into reverse without lifting up the collar, it just hits a 'brick wall'. I have had to start off in second a couple of times to get moving (got to love stage 2 tune). Got to work this morning and sure enough just sitting there in the car park it wouldn't select first. Tried going back into second then first, nope. Reverse then first, nope. Reverse, second then first, nope. Reverse, neutral, pause, first, nope - arrgh! Neutral, slight lift, first - nope :( Neutral, small wobble, very gently (worlds longest gear change), first - success!!! Bugger that every time I have to stop. Any ideas - actual gearbox, selector cables need adjusting (just a guess)? Anyone had this issue? Any help greatly appreciated.
  11. I fitted some Phlips X-treme Vision H7's from Power Bulbs and I get flashed all the time; well until I hit hi beam
