  1. Sorry about the long wait for an update. Here are a few quick pics taken at lunch time today. Sorry about the poor quality I was using my phone.

That is exactly how my FL sits, the front looks perfect but the back end is way too high. I'm now thinking of getting another spring kit and just using the rear springs to see if I can make it sit better.

  2. I've got the same Issue with my FL. Had the H&R Comfort Cup Kit -45/50front and -45/50 rear. The rear sits higher than the front. I've done just over 1k Miles now hoping that they would settle considering I drive mostly on bumpy country lanes but no luck. Was thinking of adding some weight for a week see if that helps.

Will be interesting to see if you find a solution.

  4. Just gave a CitiGo curtesy car back yesterday after 24 hours. I was very impressed with how nice it was for a little car, and if I lived in a city or did very few miles I would most definitely buy one. I do a 60 mile round trip with fair bit of traffic on the way back, so the question I would ask myself: As much as I liked it, would I want to spend 1.5 to 2 hours of my life in one each day? The answer would be NO!

I would say each to their own. Take it on long test drive...

  5. They took the clock out but could not find anything wrong with it so I was left with £98 bill and no warranty claim   :swear: .

They say its clearly shouldn't be like this but as they cant find a physical fault with the cluster its a no go apparently  :swear: .

They did clean the dust out  :)  but left tonnes of lint behind and a fingerprint in the cluster  :wall:  :swear:  :swear: !!!!!!

Rang Skoda Customer Care and put a complaint in, should hear back within 48h so we shall see..............

Left behind from the assembly line, I'm sure! :D

Should have thought of that

  6. We have our own Mechanics at my work that service fork lifts side loaders and the Company cars they have priced them up for me from which ever Tyre wholesalers they currently use. I think it was a weekly special so luck of the draw. That is plus VAT by the way but still a good price i think. Obviously ill get them fitted and balanced for free at work. I remember having Avons on an old cliosport and being pretty impressed.

I see! I am looking for a set at the moment as my Contis are nearly on wear indicators. Want something mid range but that will last a while unlike Kumho's that I had on my fabia last year that lasted 7K miles doing 70mile motorway journey on daily basis.

  7. Well after trying to find some replacement Falken Ziex 912's for my VRS i have found that these have been replaced by 914's which oddly have less favourable reviews and are working out £100 more than what i paid for my 4 X 912's in 2010.

So i have decided to try something else and after careful deliberation gone for Avon ZZ3's @ 54 Each + VAT.

Does anyone else have these fitted? I will post my findings as soon as i have had chance to do some spirited driving :bandit: . Although they have a V groove pattern which look good but from memory don't clear snow very well so might be a PITA come winter. One thing for sure they can't be as bad as the Conti's that came with my Blackline which are down to the wear indicator already after 10k steady miles 1 year of ownership. :swear: .

Where did you find them at that price? Had a set of these a few years ago on another car so could be a good choice at that price!

  8. My CR170 was averaging 47mpg actual doing mainly single/dual carriageway on a 60mile round trip daily. Just hit 20K miles this week (suspect its finally loosened up) and after the service I decided to drive it with economy in mind as an experiment and returning 58mpg over the last 482 miles with still 140 odd left in the tank according to MFD.

  9. Was just looking at the pictures on page 1 and thought.....that looks familiar....got my mk2 vrs octy from vindis in january and it was parked at the same place haha!

Even thought I live in norfolk I spend quite a bit of time in cambridge as work in Waterbeach so will have to keep my eye out for you!!!
