  1. Hey sharkrider,

Sorry for the delayed reply although skomaz seems to have covered it.

As skomaz says its the oil in the top of the gearbox thats accessible when the gators are removed.

I used one of these to remove the small amount of oil in there and put in just under 100ml of new oil (i think it is 75w80 but you best check that)

I believe its the same oil as the main gearbox oil so if are planning on changing that as well then you might be best getting enough to do both.

Also has the oil in the LSD been changed recently? For the small cost and while have the car on ramps if you do change the gearbox oil you may as well change the LSD oil too.

  2. Hey sharkrider,

Have you checked the rubber gaiter around the gear stick?

I changed it on my brothers eunos.

This is what it looked like when i got the centre consol out ygapuryh.jpg and here is the new and old together hame6ahu.jpg

Also changed the turret oil while i was at it. Made a big difference to gear changes

  3. So I have a set of SuperPro bushes, I bought them as was assured that they would fit my Fabia MK2 vRS and SuperPro list them on their website as fitting, but when I asked my mechanic to fit them he had a look and said they would only fit the MK1.

Hence I thought that I would put them up on here.

They have not been out of the packets so still as new.

The SuperPro part no for the kit is KIT5229ADJK - Front and Rear Suspension Bush Kit with Anti Lift.

    The individual part nos are:

    SPF3311K

    SPF2481K

    SPF2901-20K

    SPF3273K

The kit costs around £250 from various people including AwesomeGTI.

I'm asking £200 + p&p (or £200 collected from NE23 area of Newcastle upon Tyne)

  4. Join freedom, it's worth every penny.

My car is July 2010 so this news is interesting to me.

The guy i use sells powerflex bushes and he said that they have a whole kit as well and that he could sort me a set if i wanted so mybe thats the way to go. Although just had to buy 2 new tyres unexpectedly so not at the minute!

  5. No it wasnt a group buy. But the part numbers are what superpro claim to fit.

It is possible that they will fit some mk2s but i think mine is quite an early one so thought that the should fit.

Looks like ill have to join Freedom to put them up in the classified section to fit mk1s

  6. the mark II vRS suspension has changed DURING its production run... mine now requires a different bush kit... the older fabia II vRS's would take a mark I kit.... (not allot of people know this!)

how early do they need to be in the production run as mine is a july 2010 and the mk1 kit does not fit

  7. I had believed there are two distinct kits that are intended for Mk1 and Mk2 but I may be wrong. Not all suppliers will have the adequate knowledge to supply the correct part sadly.

If in doubt buy your kit from Alex at AKS Tuning. It's what I would do.

He knows exactly what you need. He supplied and fitted the bushes to vRSy's project car.

this is what you mean I think, http://www.superpro.eu.com/catalogue/74/skoda-fabia-mkii-2006-_to-current/

And it does look like Superpro list the same kit for both, as I said I would rely on Alex's knowledge and check with him.

Yea thats what i meant...very confusing

  8. Cheers guys - adam not sure if they are similar to the VW ones. I got a manual adjuster so I don't know but if electric mirror switches are like the one on this listing then you might be on to something.

Yea something like that would be perfect if it was to fit.......hmmm

  9. How exactly does the Multi Device Interface (MDI) work, is it only actually compatible with the Apple iPod interface or are there cables to work with other MP3 players (e.g. Sansa)? Is it controlled from the Multi Function Steering Wheel (MFSW)? Can it charge an MP3 player? Can it be used with a USB memory stick?

The brochure isn't entirely clear as to what the optional spare wheel is (I guess it varies from model to model) and the salesman seemed a bit uncertain about it, is it one of those skinny 50 mph jobs or a proper full-size steel wheel?

Just to let you know the mdi can use a memory stick or a usb powered hard drive as long as formatted in fat32 i have a 250gb hard drive plugged in with loads of music. You can control changing tracks etc from either the headunit or the wheel controls. If you plug in an mp3 player such as a sansa it does charge and can be controlled the same as a hard drive.

The spare is a full size steel wheel but statea on it that you should still only go 50mph i think, not sure the reasoning behind this, perhaps as it is a different rolling radius to the alloys?!

  10. Hey,

I'm looking to replace the spark plugs on my MKII Fabia vRS and I noticed that you sell the 'Schwaben 1.4TSI Coilpack Removal Tool'.

I couldn't find spark plugs on your website so thought I would just check if you sell them?

    I looking for NGK IRIDIUM SPARK PLUGS - BKR7EIX - 2667.

    Thanks

    Adam
