I used a local paintless dent removal guy and was very impressed. I am a fussy so and so and couldn't believe he would be able to satisfy my critical eye, but I can honestly say I can't see any trace of the dent and he even found another one that I hadn't seen!

I was a sprightly 60 when the Yeti was collected and now a slightly heavier 65, hope to change car next year.

I'm still trying to work out why you would want to.
Does it really matter?
Quite agree Graham, this along with those that complain they have to press the unlock button twice to unlock all the doors, this takes how long? I like all the beeps and flashes and I imagine the vast majority of owners do too.

Couldn't close my up and over standard door with the Yeti in forwards (not possible without great difficulty to reverse in!). I bit the bullet and installed electrically operated sectional door that sort of folds itself around the rear end and it's brilliant! (Boss fox has the same door so I'm in good company!)

Ah, that's okay then!

The kit I'm going to get in my QQ compared to what I would have had in a Golf for the same lease cost is just off the scale. But I'll report back once I have the car.
Have I missed something Johann, are you getting a QQ? Is this replacing the Yeti?
-
Hmm, not sure, perhaps I need to see one in the flesh. It's certainly quirky and I like quirky. Will certainly add this to my ever increasing list of possible Yeti replacements next year

Talking of Suzuki, just been on the model configurator and the Vitara appears to be very good value for money, something Skoda used to be!
Like to see one in the metal before deciding just how good!

I've had the heated seat fixed twice now, both by the dealer under warranty. Not sure I'd want to tackle it myself, but I still have a few months of the original warranty, plus two years of extended after that, to stave off the need just yet!
Yeah, think I'll wait until the next service in May and get them to change it, hang the expense! :(

Good morning all,
I have the dreaded heated seat failure on the driver's side bum squab. Just wanted to ask if anyone has tried fitting a new element themselves and if so what kind of job was it?
Also, if had one fitted by dealer, how much they charged you?
Thanks

Is he a troll, maybe or maybe not. I think the post does strike a chord with owners of earlier 1.2 engine vehicles. I get an occasional rattle on start up with mine and took the car in to my main dealer a couple of months before the warranty expired to check it out. The dealer told me that Skoda had issued a service bulletin stating that the rattle was quite normal and was caused by valve (waste gate?) in turbo. I fear this was a bit of a fob off but made sure they made a record of my initial query and hope that if the chain is found to be the fault (my belief) that Skoda will do the decent thing I really like my Yeti but this is the one thing that worries me about the car and hope it doesn't get any worse before trade in time.

I have to say I quite like the look of this and coupled with Hyundai's 5 year warranty it will be on my 'what to buy' list at change time.

18800 miles, 4 years old in May, kept in garage overnight, rear and front discs still as new. I suppose it must be down to environmental issues, usage, fault, or luck!
-
I have to say it doesn't look too bad, particularly in that colour which looks really nice on other Renaults I've seen. Would I buy one? probably not as I have always had a bit of an aversion to Renault cars harping back to my mechanic days!

Hi, as far as the parking sensors go, I wouldn't be without the front ones. The rear ones are standard in UK. The front sensors come on when reverse gear is selected. If you wish to activate front sensors without selecting reverse (i.e. going forward only in to a parking space) there is a switch on the lower centre dash to turn them on. Well worth the money in my opinion!

Haven't used the car for the last couple of days, mostly due to the wind and weather.
Went out this evening to collect some fish and chips and the noticed I've got a broken rear light lens! It looks like something has probably blown off one of the trees and hit the car.
Anyone got an off-side rear lamp cluster?
I've got to go to Nuneaton for a meeting on Wednesday afternoon so I might see if I can collect one on the way. Doesn't the dealer in Stourbridge offer us discount?
Oh, and the rear washer cover's disappeared!
I don't think fish and chips will do anything to help your wind problem Graham, I find eating bland food for a few days cures mine. Hope the weather has improved too. Good luck with your search!

I only use the VW recommended stuff, not cheap, but don't want to risk blocking those fan jets!

Missing you already :'(

I am another member of the never used it club! I find it far easier to keep my glasses in the right-hand door pocket.

Blimey, after 3+ years ownership there's still no sign of a mark around the ignition key area on mine. I think there must be some owners with poor aiming skills out there!

Had mine replaced at the first service a couple of years ago although it was perfectly okay at that time, the replacement is now wormy. Couldn't really see the point of replacing the original with one that obviously was going to have the same unresolved issue, I suppose it was to make sure the car was out of warranty before it succumbed again!

How easily offended you Yeti folks are the guy just compared 2 bog standard VAG group hatches and you are all acting like he has murdered your family!!
WTF!
Don't tar us all with the same brush! I like to see what else is available in a similar sector to the Yeti and will certainly look around the other offerings when time comes for a change next year. The main problem with the Yeti, in my opinion, is that the opposition has caught up, and in many cases overtaken it, in terms of quality and value for money.

Will have the same thing with the front discs, a sliver of space between the rim and calliper but 15" is the approved winter size.

Didn't you have an Octavia estate last time I looked Tim?

41, female, no beard, so probably not a typical yeti driver?!
I would suggest you grow one forthwith and fully join the clan

Yep, my driver's side bum warmer gave up last winter. Don't think I'll bother having it repaired just to pack up again in a few months :|
