just drive at 50mph down a motorway until the light goes out, I use vag dpf app and a bluetooth obd to keep track of when it needs to do a regen
-
What a week haven't been on here for a while had the fab for about 4 years now with no real problems until this week 😭
First of all for some reason the drivers door doesn't lock or unlock unless using the actual key instead of the remote, Which then prompted me to start looking for something newer. Then while looking around showrooms it decides to start smoking and revving its nuts off luckily managed to stall it luckily after having a poke around found the engine oil was massively over the level so it was probably about to runaway before I stalled it
Anybody else had a bad week

My one averages about 48mpg mainly local and A roads 1.6 CR TDI remapped and egr blanked
-
My spare key that i keep in my van does that when its very cold? Never bothered changing it

Mine stopped blinking after I changed the head unit, Guessed they were connected somehow........If they're not ill wip my door cards off on the weekend
-
I hate dpf paranoia never caused me an issue but I always worry about it :|
-
Ill ask for the 29th and see what they say should be good for most of us then?

-
Not been on for a while that's us up to 4 so we need at least one more any takers?
-
Not sure there seems to be a lot of confusion about this tbh think the service book says different also http://www.mytimingbelt.com/Results.aspx?ModelId=212
Better safe than sorry with timing belts tho
-
If your worried about dpf can I recommend getting the vag dpf app I think its great can tell when its doing a regen or if it is going to soon, Timing belt is 4 years or 140000 miles iirc
Remapped mine after the egr failed got it mapped out and blanked the egr off makes one hell of a difference

Been in touch with them this is what they said;
Hi james,Thanks for getting in touch.Power Runs on a Club Day are the same as a Basic Power Run ( HP TQ AFR ) and priced as follows –5-10 vehicles - £40 each10-20 vehicles £35 each – Organiser gets his/her run for FREE20-30 vehicles £30 each – Organiser gets his/her run for FREEWe require a £100 booking deposit for all club days, and confirmed numbers attending at the time of booking, we request that the organiser collects full payment from all club members prior to arriving, to confirm and receive the above discounts. So if we can get definite numbers and sort some way of paying deposits we can go for it, If anyone fancies taking the reins and organizing it for the free dyno run I dont mind if not ill sort

They definitely arent the best lights are they think the general rule is if you dont bleed changing the bulbs you havent done it right , Hids are good upgrade but questionable at mot time im currently using nightbreakers which seem better than standard what bulbs did you upgrage too?

Thats an impressive mod list mate!
Its on 70k its 61plate the guy I got it off did a lot of motorway miles in its first three years and I only use it on the weekend really which is usually up and down dual carriageways supermarket fuels probably at fault lol, I keep track of dpf soot loading using vag dpf app so ifi it needs a run ill find somewhere to go to clear it although it normally takes care of itself
-
The guy reckons 150? and had to go back twice because of some issues and it hasnt been on a rolling road yet so no idea really although brilliant compared to the stock 75. The ones of these if seen that have been on rollers range from 130/145ish
Hoping to get a it on rollers somewhere local but thinking of doing the intercooler 1st

Did you get an EGR blanking plate for the inlet manifold? - where the pipe you pictured joined it.
I'm struggling to find the round type delete, probably end up making my own.
Good luck if you go for an S3 intercooler, it's not a straight fit that's for sure
No ive blanked the other end where it goes to the block only theres no flow through it either way but I was looking at darkside egr delete kit it bypasses the egr cooler too not sure if its worth the hassle fitting it though.
Intercooler is currently in the thinking about it stage at the moment lol
-
That does look clogged. Bigger intercooler didn't seem to make much difference to mine. As it was already mapped it just helps with temps really. But always good to have it I guess, spoke to Superchips this week and they aren't willing to adjust the map in anyway for me as it isn't tested with more boost or with an egr blank.
I figured the yeti type can be had for less than £100 probably £30 from the breakers so not an expensive mod and seeing that a yeti with same engine can achieve more bhp with that being the only difference its worthwhile, Which one did you fit how hard a job was it?
