  1. Interesting. There don’t appear to be any model numbers or serial numbers, so maybe they’re just VW Group related i.e. fit the accelerator pedal connection. There is a smart tune procedure to the individual car at the end of the fitting process.
  2. Too bad. Would have been great for both of us if response was positive!
  3. The last stage of the installation process is ‘individual tuning with PerfecTune’ where you hold down buttons while pressing the accelerator pedal to match the PedalBox to your vehicle. So it’s probable that it will work, but can’t be sure! You could ring their helpline 01207 299538 and say you’re changing cars but don’t want to shell out for a new unit, so would it work?
  4. I’ve had the pedal box plus fitted for 2 years. Makes such a difference to throttle response. I have just removed it as I’m changing cars, so............ My DTUK Pedal Box Plus is now in the Parts for Sale section of the forum!!
  5. Just changed cars so have removed this from my 2015 Superb3 D&K Hatch 190Tdi. Extremely easy to fit. Manual and fitting instructions are included. Cost £189 in Aug 2017. Asking £100 incl 24hr ‘signed for’ postage. £100
  6. I often use the cool setting in summer. Choice of three fan speeds. Keeps your ‘base’ and back comfortably cool!
  7. I had an issue with Adblue and called Soda Assist. They sent an AA tech who did the diagnostics and advised driving straight to the dealer for repair. The dealer gave me a Superb courtesy car until it was fixed, so you should at least have some wheels.
  8. True. But when the L&K is costing towards £40k, the trim should reflect this.
  9. I've got the standard 'pile' carpets. Not exactly luxury! Pile about 2mm deep. The SuperSkoda ones seem to be a lot better, and in fact what Skoda should be fitting as standard. (I'm definitely not impressed with the main floor covering either. After it's been vacuumed a few times, it looks like it's coming apart)
  10. On two previously owned cars (BMW 5 and Superb 2), I took out an independent warranty with Warranties Direct (year 3 onwards). I had significant claims on both cars and these were paid out promptly in accordance with their Ts & Cs. They do cover things like Columbus etc, but may charge an additional premium for upgraded spec items. Details of their policies are available online, and they will answer specific questions about cover, over the phone, if you have worries about specific items. I'm not saying that they're a better choice, but they are worth consideration and investigation before making a final decision.
  11. I went from a 170 Elegance to a 190. I've not been impressed with the 190. Noisy and with vibrations at specific rpms, it's not the refined driving experience I was expecting from a 'top of the range' vehicle. I'd go for the 150 L&K.
  12. I had this on my Mk2 and it turned out to be a mis-routed condensation drain tube from the air conditioning which was leaking into the passenger footwell.
  13. Hi Mark, Yes I had my roof wrapped at a local specialist. There were a lot of national companies' vans in there when I called so they presumably have a good reputation. Anyway, yes they did remove the aerial assembly and wrapped straight across before refitting. I was there when they did the work - they partially pulled the roof lining down and this allowed restricted access to enable removal. They couldn't pull the lining far, as this would possibly cause creases. End result was first class and I've had no issues with shrinkage, lifting, or marking. For a pukka job, the aerial needs to come off. It may be worth you trying a different specialist. Terry
  14. Yes, mine was driving me nuts and I booked it into dealer 6 months ago. They told me that they removed the dash and rerouted heater pipes. The buzz has never reappeared. Good luck with yours - hopefully same cause.
