I am interested in aftermarket head unit. I just wanted to know what other people use and what's good really? I quite like the DVD head units but unsure of fitment? Does the fabias need to be a double din or can you get adaptors/ cages? Thanks olly

Thanks for the help everyone, when you say replacing the dash cluster is that th head unit with speedo etc? Any idea how expensive they are?! Is not a big issue but just a niggle! Olly

Went to buy an oil and filter from motor factors by me as skoda miles away! Was firsty given 5w 30 which I said was wrong and have now got 5w 40! The various numbers on it are: vw 502 00/505 00. Have it got the correct oil for the fabia vrs 53/04 plate?! The other oil did say for vw etc 507 but I was unsure! My other question is the car does not make sound when indicating or when lights are left on the dash? Any suggestions or possible ideas? Thanks alot Olly

Thanks for the replies, I have not bought it yet. I will call seat and see it they have any stock incase it needs ordering in. Will they know what I'm on about if I ask for the cupra splitter?! Lol they look really nice fitted. Olly

Hi, I bought my vrs today but as I'm with Adrian flux and on a modified policy I must modify the vrs! So the mod was going to be the front lower splitter. I have sourced one on eBay for £50 which is fair enough. My main question is: do they bolt straight on? Or are self tapers and some fiddling involved? Thanks in advance Olly

Thank you for all the helpful replies, I'm confident it will be quite a good car by the seller himself but will check it thoroughly. I really want it though as I have out grown my car literally and have wanted a vrs for years now. If I do buy it I'll put some photos up on Saturday some point. Thanks again for the information. It's a private sale, and he sounded pretty genuine. It's all hpi clear etc and will give it a very thorough check over Saturday. Thanks I didn't know about rear door leaks. Where do they tend to rust? As some cars have certain common rust spots. Thanks for the help olly

Hi, I'm going to look at a 2004 fabia vrs on Saturday and wanted a little advice really. Do the cars have any specific common faults or issue? The vehicle has just had the camblt and water pump changed which is good and saves me a job! It had covered around 60k so not too high really. Any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks olly

Hi, I'm joining the site in the hope to get some good information on the fabia vrs as I am looking to buy one at the moment. And if anyone has a car for sale for around £5000 I would be interested I will be coming out of a ford ka as my first car so looking forward to the vrs alot! Thanks olly
