I also managed to damage the cigarette gloss black surround with some scratches, and bent the cigarette socket a little, so being fussy I ordered a new cigarette socket and surround from Skoda-parts.com https://www.skoda-parts.com/catalog/octavia-2/spare-parts/electrical-equipment/interior-lighting-lighter-484.html The hardest bit was removing the cigarette socket to gain access to the plug. The rest was pull and unscrew.

Flushed with recent success using the wealth of information on this site, I've fitted 2 rear usb sockets. I got the car in March, and I started this in May, so it's taken a little while, but I ordered various parts in different attempts. Once I decided to go for the kit from AliExpress, and got all the parts it only took 10 mins to change over.

Hello I've got the led bulbs for both reverse and rear indicators, just a little confused when it comes to the exact coding. I've found this, but I'm not 100% sure , car is a 2020 vrs. 09-Cent. Elect. / Security Access – 16 (code: 31347) / Adaptation – 10 Then you search for: Leuchte28RFL LC11 and change from 18 -2*5W to 43-allgemeine LED Leuchte29RFL RA64 and change from 18-2*5W to 43-allgemeine LED Dimmwert AB 28 8 and change from 100 to 127 Dimmwert AB 29 5 and change from 100 to 127 is the above for reverse or indicators? Any help gratefully received.

Hi. Just picked up a vrs challenge and wanted the rear sill guards, but when the cars been delivered its not got the sill covers I was expecting, grey ones, image attached. Does anyone know if I can get matching rears? Good job I didn't order the red ones from superskoda.

Good news....I have reset the 09 central electronics back to how it came from the factory, with the HID kit in & get a bulb warning on the dash, so definitely no resistors in sight & not canbus friendly ballasts. So to the testing: Firstly, I have tried the Byte 17 bit 2 on it's own & this lost me the high beam, but kept my LED DRLs. Secondly, I have tried the Byte 14 Bit 3 on it's own which has worked, but lost my LED DRLs. Which leaves the Mysterious Byte 14 Bit 4 - so set this to 1 in the binary (on it's own) & all appears to be working fine, no bulb warnings - still have main beam, plus all other lights appear to be working - could this be a masked Xenon without shutters?? This is my actual screenshot from VCDS - as setup & working: All on a 2012 VRS, with non-canbus HID kit from London Colour on ebay - incidentally the 4300 are very close to original. Now just need some spare bulbs & some LEDs for the number plates Thanks to vectra1 & powerx Result.

I can double check these at the weekend. But from memory - option 1 just front fogs did throw the bulb error, & I know that byte 17 bit 2 bi-xenon without additional beam is set to Zero I think I see where your heading with option 2 - I'll have a test & feedback once done Option 3 - I've tried that before - I seem to recall I had no full beam - but I'll double check.

Hi - just a confirmation - by ticking the Xenon Headlights (without Shutter) installed & then changing Bit 5 to be a 1, this has worked. Both Xenons & DRL's working as they should be, no bulb warnings either. This is on a 2012 VRS using the London Colour NON canbus HID kit.... Massive thanks
