Update guys - had the issue of my satnav cocking up whilst being diverted off the motorway - that was intersting to say the least - it's in the dealers now - they tell me its a faulty SOS unit that is tied in with GPS - needs a new part and re-updating etc - should sort the issue say Johsons in Wigan. 2 days to get it in!

so the cars booked in - after my satnav went crazy on the m40 - still thinks i'm somewhere near M40 on 20mph road - despite driving all the way back to wigan whilst traffication warned me i was exceeding a 20mph speed limit whilst i did m40, M6 toll, m6 and then being in the skoda dealers getting the car booked in. I'll let you know what happens in case anyone else gets this iss - lost all dynamic road sign warnings/notifications and satnav

Does anyone get the occasional 'blurred' satnav - switching off and on again doesnt work - unless you restart the car and even then it might take a few goes at it - any ideas anyone? So this is where the satnav image is blurred - out of focus if you will:

you can use the items that fit into the seats and replace the tablet holder bit with a hook - great for bags of backpacks etc

I had the Canton in my previous karoq - and if you have this you lose that nice storage area on the dash board - you know i dont really notice any difference - my current sportline doesnt have it - and i dont miss it. The storage is much more useful

So i know its technically reviving an old post - but my 2021 sportline Karoq had these little isofix covers - but my new sportline doesnt - when i asked the dealer - they are not fitted anymore - but i'm sure ive seen them???? Anyone know more on this?

So I have my car now - nothing in way of compo from dealer or skoda - they said the original agreed date for delivery was 20 june anyway - oh well - anyway got car and dealer says it was all cars throughout range with DSG boxes and it was now also extended to SEATS as well - i think he mentioned Altcas specifically. I will start a new thread on any differences i note from my older 21sports line - as i notice them!

News just in - just had a call from the dealers - Their dealership garage is busy but they now have the go ahead to process the car. I asked again what the issue was - something around s/w for the gear box apparently! Anyway they will get back to me for pick up a week today or next Monday depending on fitting it in.

sO - NO THEY HAVENT CALLED ME BACK AND i AGREE WITH Berisford - they seem to not be giving anything away. No return call No offer of loaner - i still have my part ex - but basically ended my insurance on it so cant drive it now as shifted every over to new car - which i dont have yet! So its just a pain - and in limbo - wish i could get a clearer understanding of the issue/problem apparently Skoda wont let them register it on their systems yet

the dealer tells me - he now has a list of impacted chassis numbers and is going thru it to see if mines affected

Nope mines a 2.0 TDI - always like my diesels

the roller 'blind' is much more practical - i miss it from my old 'Edition' karoq - i dont know why this isnt an option or at least have a common part where they lock into the side and then we can buy the roller blind as a separate item.

i think i selected the package that does variable cruise control - is that not the same thing?

Its a right roayal pain in the arse - i have changed my insurance - organised GAP insurance - god that took ages to sort due to lots of people no longer doing it -due to FCA ruling. I really not going to pay to change it all back again - I got fleeced by insurance on the car change - from same car to same car (but newer) - extra 86 quid till Nov'24 with ESure. - rip off

So this is my 3rd karoq - and second sportline model - getting the red one this time! So i was due to get it this Friday 07/06 - but got called last night to say they don't know when i'll get it - its in the garage - apparently Skoda/VW have stopped all deliveries due to some software thingy? - No one knows when it will be resolved - anyone know more about this?

So Guys - I used to have a 2.0TDI 4x4 edition - this had a very useful rollback parcel shelf - great for days out with the dog and then when out and about could close it over and put coats/bags and stuff in the boot out of sight. Sadly as they no longer did the edition in 2.0tdi - i had to go for the SportLine - and I can say its missing a lots of the little extras - but most missed is this rollback parcel shelf - I see even the fittings in this area are different - so i cant even get one from an Edition thats been written off etc. Anyone know if such a thing exists or if sold as an accessory? Really really missing this.

the parcel shelf for me is a nice to have - as mostly the dogs in the back of the car - and obviously a retracted parcel shelf - but when away from home and out and about with may be stuff in the boot to keep it out of sight - roll it out to cover the boot - and saves carrying it around in the back seats. I do find a few days in that i'm missing it. Cant even retro fit one as the fittings are totally different.

Well I had 2 yeti's before changing to the karoq - because i couldnt get them new anymore - so I got my 18 plate karoq Edition - just love all the extra features and everything - and apart from having to have a new metatronics unit - on warranty its been pretty good. So now I've ordered a new karoq - but the sports line version - as I cant get an edition in 2.0tdi version. Anything i should note that's very different? - - by the way also digital cockpit which i'm so looking forward to. So anyone have a Karoq sportline - anything i should know? - does it have a retractable parcel shelf - as have dog in the back most of the time - but great to not have to take it in and out of car etc when dog isnt in it. Will i get more functions via the connect app - or still pretty useless?

virtual? - nothing virtual about it - its very real - virtual has a different meaning for me - lol. In aeroplane terms its called a 'glass' cockpit - even digital dash is better. Lol - image 'virtually driving a car with a full VR Headset - coming soon the future is here - Elon musk over to you.

well as a temp replacement - now have a shiny white Audio a4 quattro estate on the drive until they sort my issue out - full glass interior - or digital display not sure what term is used nowadays for cars. Looking forward to giving that a good run. - might be a good option on my next motor to have that display - wasnt an option on my 18plate at the time -

i'm just glad it happened to them and not me. They had to wait an hour and half for it to 'reset' before they could limp back to the dealers.

Apparently - its very common after a search on the internet. Sometime ago - just a week or so into lock down - my car kept going into emergency mode on the gear box - it would only use even numbered gears. But could still be driven. Garage trip and a service later - they noticed a battery fault and replaced the start-stop main battery. They couldnt find an issue. So the issue happened to me several times since and on a major trip back home from holiday in Wales. So got it booked in a soon as I could - they couldnt fit me in for several weeks. During this time car was as good as gold with the exception of one incident - but its still wrong so kept my appointment. Garage called me - can't find anything wrong, so told them "drive it on a motorway at 70 and slow down a few time when its warm" - thats what seemed to cause it for me. They tried and it broke down and wouldnt select any gears this time - they had a laptop attached - bang Metatronic unit fault. So it may be a few weeks to a few months before fixed - lucky its under warranty and they are sending me a hire car - nice one VW - but it was so hard proving the initial issue - glad it broke down on the techs - lol - "Told you so!" springs to mind. Its very common when i looked up Metatronic unit - I'd have thought they'd have known that - i'm not a car mech! just so others know.

Hi Guys I recently had to replace all 4 tyres - as i couldnt get the same make/brand as the front one which had plenty more trad etc. Do you really need to keep the same tyres on all 4 wheels just because its a 4x4 - it was mentioned by costco thaat they couldnt just replace the 2 back tyres on my 4x4 but had to do all 4 as the Haldex unit would not be in warranty if different? I thought this was for old 4x4's and not relevant any more - any one shed light on this? i have a edition 4x4 2.0tdi
