  1. Yip my l&k with brown leather interior has heated and vented fronts and heated rears. Has virtual pedal too
  2. I have a 66 plate 2.0tdi [150] Superb L&K estate. Its got 64k on the clock and every conceivable extra (except heated steering wheel). I 🤬 LOVE this car and despite it not being a brand spanking new car it still gets loads of complements It looks great, it drives phenomenally, it's £20/year tax, no adblue nonsense. It gets great economy and it is pretty quick. I bought it just before it's 2nd birthday, it gets main dealer serviced and filled with premium diesel. Its a refined cruiser but the DCC can ttransform it. Its the the most versatile car I've ever owned for so many things. I'll be absolutely gutted when I come to sell it. But that time is coming. I've got an Enyaq Sportline 85x on order. I'd have passed it onto my missus but her journeys are way shorter than mine and it wouldn't be fair to do that to the car. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND an L&K superb, providing it's been loved.
  3. Took it to a local garage. They diagnosed faulty door lock motor. Part was £197+vat. An hour and a half labour. £334 total - brutal but at least it works again.
  4. I've trawled a few posts on this subject as I see it's a fairly common fault, but none seem to show how I can check it's the same common wiring issue. Just to put some context on it, about 6 months ago my 66 plate L&K estate developed the irritating habit of clicking the auto locking of all doors when I reached the trigger speed, but clicking again when I dropped below the trigger speed. One of the other threads lead me to this helpful YouTube clip that perfectly captured the issue However it didn't solve it. When I waggle the 2nd bit under the dust cap the car will lock once (via the fob) but as soon as I unlock it it won't lock again. I bought this to see if there were any error codes but there weren't any that related to the door or the locking mechanism (just one that mentioned the drivers seat fan was incorrectly coded). https://amzn.eu/d/00MAuDQn Im kind of In the headspace to hand it over to a garage and just let them sort it, but having recently fit the door harness in my wife's Fabia I thought I might try to tackle this myself. I've seen people suggest that the issue might actually be the wiring in the driver's door, and they seem to have a pretty high success rate in sorting it, but as I say there's nothing that shows what I'm looking for or how to get to it. I'm hoping one (or more) of you lovely folk could advise, please. Many thanks. [Additional context - I had water ingress in the car that was causing some red herrings. By that I mean it was just confusing the matter rather than the water was deep enough to sustain Aquatic life. That ingress was caused by DM Keith absolutely ballsing up (and initially denying responsibility for) a panoramic roof drain clean... Which the car didn't need. It went back 3 times before they sorted it... But it wasn't their fault... But they did it FOC and dried the carpets... but it wasn't their fault... It was a tube that had been dislocated... But it wasn't their fault... You get my drift). For a while I wondered if the ingress was causing electrical gremlins. The car is now dry but the lock issue remains. I suspect it was just pure coincidence]
  5. Hi @Breezy_Pete I finally got round to doing the loom a couple of weekends ago. The old loom is yours if you'd still like it?
  6. I've had this. I ALWAYS seem to get my car back from the main dealers with more problems than I took it in with. Anyway. I lost all the front assist for about 6 months, then I just sprung back into life. I wasn't paying the £600 that Skoda wanted to recalibrate the front end. They asked if I'd bumped it, which I hadn't and everything was perfectly intact. I'm positive that Skoda purposely initiate additional problems. Love the car but their technicians are garbage.
  7. Thanks for the intel. I'll keep you posted. I don't know if it's pure coincidence but the 12v power socket doesn't work either.
  8. Cheers Pete, so 5J0971120HH would be compatible (just making sure). what was the difference - I'm assuming a couple more cm on the loom to stop it from stretching and failing? As it currently stands I've got the thick Brown wire and the thin blue/white wire snapped. A few more have cracks in the insulation
  9. Well done on tackling it @Hawkander. What loom did you go for in the end? I've got to do my wife's 11 plate Monte Carlo. It's been playing up for a while. The drivers window doesn't work and it won't operate any of the other 3 windows. The other 3 all work independently though. I tried to get DM Keith to get me a part number so I could buy the kit but they refused. A couple of months later I've eventually got round to taking the door card off to access the part number label and the only thing I could find was one that said 5J0120GP - a Google search didn't throw much light on it, either. Any advice gratefully received. Cheers
  10. GREAT summary @MartiniB. In a last minute dash before we go on holiday at the weekend, for my L&K on 19", I bought a 205/55 r16 from eBay. It is in decent knick with the foam insert and scissor jack. £45 picked up (1 hour away). I know the size difference is noticeable but I'll take it steady should I ever need it.
  11. Going on holiday soon and there's loads of official VAG skinnys on eBay. I'm hoping it won't need to be used very often, so I'm weighing up the benefits of buying one that I know will do the job so I can just put it to bed. Also thanks to @Carlston awesome post I can see that adding rims, tyres, jack and brace, will bring it in at double (if not triple) of a skinny. Although I have a flexi floor I don't want the carpet lifting, hence not having a 235/40 R19.
  12. Would a 125/70 R18 (spacesaver)be a disaster if used on a superb running 235/40 R19s?
  13. I've stumbled across this thread after searching for spare wheel options for my 66 plate 150 PS 2WD L&K estate. I fell foul of the goo and needed to be transported home the week before last. I'm searching my head about options that will fit in the wheel well without raising the boot floor. My wheels are 19" on 234/40 R19 tyres. I'd prefer a wider tyre (than a skinny space saver) so I'm assuming it'll need to be a 205 width wheel, but that combo of wheel size and tyre size will be best whilst still fitting in the well? Thanks in advance, I'm sending myself loopy looking at this.
  14. I took a long time to make friends with mine. It's a 66 plate L&K estate with every conceivable option (except heated steering wheel, wireless charging and spare wheel) - the lack of spare wheel really stung me last week. I've had a leak in the wheel well that took a couple of times to resolve. I've had the front sensors stop. They wanted to charge a fortune for recalibration but it rectified itself. I've had gremlins in the head unit. But I love the car.
  15. I've had this EXACT problem. First occurred the day I picked it up my 66 plate. The car was less than 2 years old at the time. It's happened another 3 or 4 times since. Each time it's happened seems to be during hot weather, so put it down to expansion of something. Pretty sure it wouldn't get done on warranty, however my local dealer is happy to pop it back in free of charge. It's a bit irritating but I'll keep this thread in mind for the next time it happens. Thanks for the info, peeps
