It’s so easy to remove the frame cover and tape the cable safely away I can’t understand why you messed around with bits of foam. Also couldn’t the bits of foam jam/alter the high speed opening of the frame cover if the airbags is activated in an accident?

Also the dash cam could be pulled off and go anywhere as the a frame cover flirted off in an accident it is easy to do I have done 2 and remove 1

You can change the setting for what the door opening button does via the Maxidot (IIRC there's a one-click-for-driver's-door-two-clicks-for-all-doors, setting, which could be what yours has got changed to). Why it should have been changed as part of the work involving the new key I can't say, but you should be able to change it back.
No idea about the coding issue with the new key, I'm afarid.
When you had two keys each one could be used to set it up differently

Have you tried the freezer bag, fill a sealed freezer bag with warm water and just drag if on the screen. I have an heated screen on my QQ but never used it in 16 month kept in garage and only done 3000 miles in that time. I would hav hada new Yeti if they had still made them when I change my car

Some garages when you take a car in for a service will disconnect the dash cam so the MOT garage my do the same so you cannot see what they do to your car

looking forward to this release and come back into the skoda family

Thanks Expatman, since posting I had a look at advice on forum, and think the hardwire option is the way to go.
Will order a kit, as noone locally supplies it.
Hope you have seen that you need to put the cable inside the a frame cover and secure it away from the air bag

This image is from Yet_man's tech tip on cleaning out the sunroof drains. It shows what is behind the passanger A trim. (The drivers side is very similar). You can see the air bag, and existing wiring. I attached my dashcam power cable to the existing cabling to completely avoid the airbag.
Because of the new restrictions with Photobucket, I have had to just paste a link to the photo...

Sorry, not a direct answer to your question...
But I tucked the cable on mine behind the rubber door seal, which I found safer, simpler, and just as invisible.
Just be aware that there is an air bag behind that cover

Thanks very much for that

Has anybody taken off the A pillar cover to put the cable down inside it if so is it easy to remove
-
Did you take off the A pillar cover if so how do you do it. I want to put the cable in side the A pillar cover as there is an air bag in the A pillar and the A pillow cover is blown off and I do not want the cable a and dash cam been in the road

Dealer told me they are putting an extra layer of paint on the red if you can belive that

If the new Yeti when it arrives is wider than the present one then I will be looking at this one, they my have ironed on any faults by then
-
If you renew your road tax online they only check you have a MOT or need one they no longer check if the car is insured
-
That's normal it will only stop if the battery will start the car wait till you are stopped with the stop start and it starts up on its own
-
You have to have it as an extra unless you have a LK model
-
Have you got the V5 with your personal plate number
-
Mine was register on 30 of March 2015 and I had my reminder two weeks ago also a Greenline £30 road tax
-
15 minutes a side to set up not many have a lathe them selves cost about £20 an hour to have it done, done on a grinder
-
