  4. Mines failed it's first MOT... Major oil leaks on both front shockers. Repaired under the STD 3 year warranty, car taken for MOT to dealer about 3 weeks before 3 years old Even although it was a major failure I was allowed to drive the car until the replacements arrived !... two days later ... I was not informed it was a major defect, only found out later from MOT history MOT History.... 28,488 miles Repair immediately (major defects): Nearside Front Shock absorbers has a serious fluid leak (5.3.2 (b)) Offside Front Shock absorbers has a serious fluid leak (5.3.2 (b))
  5. Voltage log... maybe of interest. You will see below a voltage log of my 2016 MY17 Superb (190) taken on a 250 mile trip on mainly motorway. About four stops in the journey, weather dry, temperature about 40f, average speed about 60mph. This was taken when the car was about six months old, factory fitted battery Varta AGM.
  6. Looking for the part numbers for the under bonnet LH and RH foam rubber seal, see part marked in picture Cannot seem to find on any online parts site. Not tried the local Skoda dealer yet. Can anyone help?
  7. My 1st variable service carried out in June this year cost about £249, Main Skoda Agent..... It was called a major service. I waited for the service to be carried out..... oil/filter change, pollen filter, removed wheels, inspection, incuding tyres....Engine cover not removed for inspection (190 TDI), no software updates carried out. Checked with VCDS before service and there were 5 errors recorded, they did not mention them nor were they cleared... all non critical. I asked when paying for service if there were any errors, response ... non noted. Total time in the workshop 34 minutes. Verified by tracker and dual camera system. Camera system has parking mode and records any movement seen when ignition off. Kept me waiting for an extra 30 minutes, from tracking the car was sitting in their car park for this time. Road test was up and down their car park.
  8. Reset Oil service, 2016 MY17 190 DSG L&K Kessy, varible service interval. Different methods found on the net, many do not work on my car, but this one worked for me.. Sit in car, all doors closed, ignition off, footbrake off. Press and hold trip reset button, press and release start button (kessy key in pocket)... do not press brake pedal, when display shows oil service reset release trip reset button, press start button to switch ignition off, start as normal. Check service staus and oil service should be reset. I could not find any easy way to reset using VCDS. Hope this helps others.
  9. I was supplied with one chrome and two plastic type keys, looks like it would fit mine.
  10. I installed a Thinkware F770 two camera system, Thinkware Hardwire Installation Cable, no cellink, to my car back in July 2016. Wiring to rear camera down nearside under roof lining, further inboard to ensure no problems with nearside airbags. DAB system operating ok, but on three ocassions over the past 9 months the DAB has stopped working.... no sound. But I can manually switch to FM which operates ok. Switching back to DAB still has the same problem. Found the only way to cure is to switch off/ lockup car, or switch to another source say TV or maybe SD card and then return to DAB. This failure always seems to have happened when driving in a reasonable DAB reception area. Have put it down to some software bug in the DAB system. Hope this helps.
  11. I use a LG G3 in my L&K Superb (MY17) Operates with no problems in rSAP mode (Business mode ticked in phone set up on the Columbus) Signal strength is this mode good, but not as good as my MK2 Superb. As you say if in HFP the Battery level is displayed on Columbus and MFD, battery life and signal poor compared to rSAP mode connection. Hope this helps.

  14. If the cancelled orders cannot be resolved, this may be a place to raise awareness to the problems..... http://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/cars/article-3609004/The-10-popular-cars-biggest-dealer-discounts.html I used them with a problem with NS&I and they were very helpful in getting a very quick resolve.
  15. Back in March 2016 I tried to place an order with NCD. Obtained a quote(3rd March), asked how long this price would be available, confirmed by NCD..."We ll be the same for the rest of 2016" On 21st March tried to place my order with NCD only to find they would not honour their quote... went elsewhere.
  16. Because of the MY17 changes/price increase, if I cannot be supplied with the build codes for my new Superb prior to payment/delivery, I will ask for the VIN code to confirm the build details. Noted below is an extract of the details for my last Superb... obtained from a VIN decoder service. The full report was four pages long..... cost me about £6. My New Superb L&K with many extras has a confirmed Order Date of 31 March 2016, no build date so far, 12 week delivery quoted. Extract.... -Check your VIN with VIN.SU VIN: TMBK*********** Model Designation: Superb Combi Elegance Model: SUP Date of production: 30.08.2011 Model year: 2012 Sales type: 3T539C Engine code: CFGB Transmission code: NJJ Axle drive: 6A Interior trim code: LF Roof color: 3X Exterior color / Paint Code: 3X / F4U 8ZF Inside side window antenna 7AL Anti-theft alarm system, passenger compartment control, backup horn and towing protection 4S1 Armrests for both front seats 9M0 Without auxiliary/parking heater J0L Battery 340 A (70 Ah) K8D Station Wagon Variant/Avant 9U1 Brake pad wear indicator 1ZA Disc brakes, front 1KJ Disc brakes, rear 1AT Electronic stabilization program (ESP)

  18. Antera, What is "option 100 Active"? eg...which module on the Skoda Superb 3 ? Will this setting light the eyelashes on the front DLRs with no rear DRL ? Thank you.
  19. Location resolved !...... 4 - The warning buzzer for the front parking aid -H22- q behind the dash panel insert 9 - The warning buzzer for the rear parking aid -H15- q at the rear in the centre under the moulded headliner
  20. Is it possible someone has replaced in the past? It's a little awkward to secure the sounder back in place, maybe they have pushed it into a different location?.... limited by the wiring. .... Take the steering column covers off to locate? The Superbs I have replaced it on were 2011 (MY12) Combi models. ............................. Just checked up... There are two locations noted... One for the H22 version and one for the H15 version... no idea why there is a difference... H15 Version... "Remove rear moulded headliner → Body Work; Rep. gr.70 and carefully unhook a little towards the bottom. – Slacken and remove button rivets -arrows-. – Disconnect plug -1- and remove warning buzzer" Hopefully this helps
  21. Yes the info is for a MKII. I have done a couple of MKII superbs.... the sensor was behind the instrument panel..... maybe not in the exact position shown. You will not see the sounder it's on the blind side... look out for the two plastic rivets... the sounder is behind. The sounder when faulty goes open circuit.... it should measure about 50ohms. .... It's a low profile mylar speaker. Search for part number... 8E0 919 279 (Images) It looks exactly like pictures... common part used in many VW group cars.
  22. Skoda Superb 2.... The sounder is located behind the instrument panel. Part number 8E0 919 279 Easy to remove instrument panel and gain access to the sounder Hope this helps
