  1. When looking at 100k mile + car you need to make sure the car has had its 2nd timing belt change. If it hasn't it could be a good bargaining point as you'll be looking around the £270-£300 mark to have this done with genuine parts.
  2. Oh yeah and Pete. :p Sent from my phone, using my thumb.
  3. That's the thing though its not just the car its what comes with it. I don't go out drinking etc so my car is my hobby and most of my mates these days are forum members from old/current forums just not sure what I'll do with my self ha ha. Sent from my phone, using my thumb.
  4. Yeah I was thinking either a 2.0tfsI or 2.0 turbo doesn't need to be overly fast as she will drive it mainly. Just don't know what I'm gonna do. Been modding reasonably fast cars for quite a while now and I love it, there are some great forums about obviously inc this one and I won't have my own car anymore. It's weird when I got in from the interview last night I actually felt a bit sad as I knew what I'd have to do :'( Sent from my phone, using my thumb.
  5. No mate, never left Vec C. Don't post to often on there but I'm all ways looking lol. Sent from my phone, using my thumb.
  6. She has said defo no skoda's lol. So that's that. I've got my eye on another Siggy 2.8t on the bay. It may be too big and too fast for her though ha ha. Sent from my phone, using my thumb.
  7. We don't do tractors mate! Proper fuel only
  8. Well it looks like it could be sad news for the Porkmobile as I have new job in the pipeline starting in Feb which comes with a company vehicle. The mrs wont drive the Octy as she doesn't like it. So looks like we'll be selling both the Octy and the Mrs Fusion and buying her something better, she fancies an Audi A3 but we'll have to see. So watch this space.
  9. Saturday before Christmas I took a slow drive down to See Clive of CNTuning to collect some goodies. The weather was so poor I barely got above 60mph there and back it was absolutely lashing it down, one good thing to come from this though was this Bit blury I know but 43.4 mpg is pretty good going I reckon lol. Any way back to topic. As mentioned I went to Clive's to collect some goodies and this is what I came back with S3 brace - pretty much mint so no painting required. And this The Red Devils rear bumper with the Milotec diffuser all ready fitted and colour coded!!! Whoop whoop!!! Now the picture does the bumper too much justice as its pretty poor condiiton and could do with a respray but I reckon I can get the diffuser off with some cheese wire and a heat gun, clean it up, spray it matt black to go with my mirrors and grill and it'll look pretty sweet. I was pretty fed up with driving a brown vRS as the last time she was washed was back in September and she was dirtier than I'd be comfortable to show on here so I gave her a quck wash at work on Friday just gone..... I'd forgotten how nice she looked when clean.
  10. Lol Adam that was also mentioned on Facebook and his Mrs was not happy with it ha ha Sent from my phone, using my thumb.
  11. That looks proper **** Gee but as Boss Fox says its for a purpose so its all good matey. I especially like the two tone trim :p Sent from my phone, using my thumb.
  12. I have a brand new one in the boot of my car was only fitted to my car for 50 miles or so. It also has the uprated THS rear bush fitted, which is a stronger rubber type rather than a poly bush so its not as harsh. I had to buy a new one when my front bush disintergrated and I couldn't have the car off the road, I only removed it as I completely polybushed my old one and refitted that. PM me if any one is interested.
  13. Merry Christmas Lloyd. Hope yours is better than mine. Massive bust up with the wife which has ruined the day. Sent from my phone, using my thumb.

  15. Hi matey. Hate to say it but you'd probably be lucky to get £2k max for it. There are so many about for sale and some at really silly money.
  16. What fixings do people use when fitting an S3 strut brace? Are you supposed to use Riv nuts? Any part numbers would be great. Sent from my phone, using my thumb.
  17. No not me mate furthest I've been is my work 4 miles away recently. Sent from my phone, using my thumb.
  18. I've ordered a replacement which should hopefully be here by Tuesday. I knew something wasn't right as this is the worst its ever been. Fingers crossed its not too much of a pig to fit. Sent from my phone, using my thumb.
  19. Last month I cleaned my throttle body and gave the car a full service, Since then my mpg has dropped quite a lot, it normally sat around 28.9 with town driving and over the month has dropped to 23.6 which is not good. I have also been getting some fumes coming in to the cabin so I thought I'd investigate today. This is what I found The pipe has split the fits into the Y piece. Luckily I can see the part number (06A103213AF) so I can obviously get it from the dealer but can you get a silicone replacement? I take it that its part number 2 in this drawing ? Looks like a bit of a pig to replace so any help on a silicone replacement or handy tips for removal and refitting would be great. Cheers H
  20. Ok Clive I'll come back to you later and see how quick I can get down to you.
  21. I'd be interested in the bumper Clive is it all in one piece? Sorry to butt in. Sent from my phone, using my thumb.
