Hi, My mate went to USC at Santa Pod last weekend and took his car down the strip. This morning he received a letter from Direct Line stating that they were exercising their right to cancel his policy. They had representatives at Santa Pod who were noting the registrations of all vehicles that went down the strip and running them through their systems For anyone who is planning to take their car to drag strips or other raceways, it may be a good idea to cover your registrations

Think I have got to the bottom of the problem. It seems at some point the comfort/control module has been swapped for one that does not have a remote locking capacity - doh! Will have to get on Ebay for a correct replacement. Thanks for the other tips

I believe so. The red light illuminates on the key fob. I've only recently bought the car and was told it didnt work by previous owner Does the comfort/convenience module control the remote central locking?

Hi I have looked through a number of topics but still quite confused as to what the problem is with my remote central locking. Hopefully someone can give me a definitive answer The problem is the central locking will not work via the key fob. It works fine when I put the key in the door and the electric windows work fine too. My mate set up the anti-hijack on Vagcom but was unable to set up the alarm beeps upon locking the door The red light illuminates on the key fob so I dont think it is the battery Can someone please shed some light on this. I've realised how much I take remote locking for granted when I don't have it! Thanks

Hi, I have just joined the forum after purchasing an 06 plate Fabia VRS. I have noticed that the engine seems to judder slightly if the revs are held at 2000 RPM. It is more noticeable in 4th gear. A friend who works at Audi has plugged it in to the diagnostics and says that the fuelling is correct and there are no fault codes. He suggested that because the car has been involved in a front end collision in the past, it may have slipped a tooth on the cambelt. Does anyone have any input on this? Would it not throw up a crank sensor fault if the timing was out? The car has done 44k miles if that is of any use Thanks
