  1. Sooo, it appears i am not alone in this issue, my passenger side door, mirrors and windows wont open on my 2014 superb, front and rear. so I am only able to get in through the driver side front and rear doors. Am I right in assuming it is most likely going to be the wiring loom on the driver side? I have had a tinker today but I was in a foul mood and was just getting more and more annoyed, i can see a speaker wire that has a slight tear in the wire, but the rest appear ok, but obviously i cant pull the rubber gaiter back far enough to see it. if I remove the loom from in-between the door, then pull it through the door once I have removed the door card, how do I get it out? is it a case of cutting that cardboard bulge thing off and taking it through there? I can then inspect it and either fix, or look at a replacement one
  2. hi does anyone have any insite as to why the fog light wouldnt work. i cant find a fuse for it in the manual or online, its a 2014 and i believe its all led on the back. it just failed the mot on it, thats all...bit irritating really
  3. Morning, the left side of my rear heated seat doesn't appear to work. The three lights come on for a few seconds then go off, and no heat. think the fuse is OK, but is there anything else I can check. Maybe cables underneath etc when it stops snowing on Easter Monday! I know eh.. First World problems
  4. Well hello again after a few years absense. I've had more than my fair share of fabias and octavias and have now purchased a superb. In the gap I had a Nissan navara, Ford ranger, Honda civic and for transit tipper van (still use) So I've now gone back to dark side and purchased a 2litre 2014 SE auto superb, 124k with nearly complete service history. Has a major service booked Wednesday. Just had the dsg oil changed. Problems.. Yes, 1st one being I bought it blind, first and last time I'll do that. Blower fan and heating does not work so I've a new one coming for the climatronic system from ecp, hope I've bought the right one. Easy enough to change. 2nd the air pipe and intake duct guide fell out and into the engine fan, didn't cause any fan damage just buggered up the pipe, so need to source that. 3rd light ticking one cold, hope an oil change will sort that, if not I'll get it investigated. 4th brolly and ice scraper missing ffs. So I'll be using this resource a bit I'm sure coming up. Good to be back
  5. No, they own a tractor place in weston super mare. I know what you mean, I'm just too nice I think...
  6. I spoke with his dad on Friday afternoon. Said I followed you both for a couple of miles and your son drove it hard, wheelspinning etc. He denied it. His dad, has asked that I contribute 500 pounds to the 2k rebuild bill. I said I would talk to the wife and if you send me a video on whatapp for Facebook messenger so I can hear/see the noise. He said he would on Saturday morning. Sunday evening and still nothing... I did contemplate helping him out, I've already lost 2 and a half grand, but I'm ****ed off now. God know what he's doing to the engine etc or the other navara possibly swapping bits about. So I feel less inclined to help at all
  7. Hope so. He said he sneezed and went into a Bush. Which had a concrete bollard in so probably wrecked the engine Yep
  8. He was on the ball, as the first post he went over it all. He had one two weeks prior but crashed it. Me or him saw no reason why it would have gone wrong. I had spent weeks sorting it out ready for sale... Not ready for disaster
  9. Just you wait to see... Probably 4 owners but it will be on Facebook soon. Incedently I don't want to sell that, it's awesome and has only needed a sensor in the last two years. Company car means all must go, including the motorbike.. But that's another forum
  10. Absolutely not. I bought it cause I really wanted one. Had full service history and 12 months mot. The turbo blew the first month and the dealer repaired that for free. They replaced it with the cheapest **** turbo they could get, and did it badly with silicone. Then I had the chassis inspected and it failed so it went to Spain for three months to be repaired. (look up navara snapped chassis if you haven't already heard about them) Then it delevoled a fault, turned out to be the turbo again so I went to best turbos and had it done properly. So I spent over a grand, lost a grand and half on the sale so was 2.5k down. Def no profit there. Its done 3 thousand miles since december
  11. No it was a private sale. He wrote off his other car two weeks prior, him and his dad came to view it. Hand on heart I genuinely didn't think any thing would happen. It literally seemed perfect. Now he's stuck with an expensive paper weight. I was selling that and my Octy to make way for a lease vehicle
  12. I sold my navara today, after 6 months of use and repairs it was perfect and ready to go. Buyer came, had a good look around, checked oil, listened to the engine, checked under and over, we discussed all good and bad points. Test drove small and dual carriageway roads and he was happy with it all. He bought it, drove to it 2 hours back and the engine seized, he said. I'm gutted for him, it showed no signs of tapping knocks or anything. I know he drove it hard as he spun the wheels leaving my yard and I followed them as I was going out anyway, was going quite quick. Anyway, he rang and told me... Seemed upset more than angry. Obviously he's just spent 4k and its probably buggered, I don't feel it's my fault or his but where do we stand on this. Is the term buyer beware relevant, legally I think he's bought it and it's his responsibility, morally I'm gutted for him but I can't afford this or help. Any help or ideas? Dan
  13. hi all, can someone please just point me in the right direction of the location of the bank 1 lambda sensor on a 58 plate vrs. and possible best place to buy one. trusty ecp dont stock it and i dont really wanna be robbed by the dealers. regards Dan
