I've got the same problem. Went in today for the mid Jan software fix release to be applied (SOS pop fix and the hung loading screen on login). And I was hoping for AA wireless to be enabled. But now my ICE system doesn't know what version it's control panel stuff is (which I'm hoping isn't the issue) and there is no way of getting the wireless AA setup.

Skoda do do a kit. The OEM kit is supplied by Westfalia.
You need;
'Permanent Plus' (sold seperately as part number 300 027 300 113) is an optional extra for the below wiring kit.A charging line (sold seperately as part number 300 028 300 113) is an optional extra for the below wiring kit.305 404 300 113 -
Fit it yourself and you can get bar and dedicated electrics for just over £300
-
My Dad has had one fitted to his by the stealership. £650 for a detachable one. The bar was a Witter one with the electrics from Westfailia. Even though towbar prep was spec'd, they still had to rip apart half the trim apart in the car to fit another live feed to the front. Towbar prep is only for single electrics not dual (ie charging caravan electrics while towing etc)

an Elegance Combi 2.0 Tdi 150 DSG with everything thrown at it retails at practically 33k, go on the configurator and see for yourself by all means.
What configurator are you using ? The skoda UK one only shows and SE.
-
33K is speccing up an SE to elegence spec and beyond though. When I ordered the Octy orginally the dealer couldn't get the elegence combi much above 28K anyway.
-
Well that was short lived.... I'm not getting the Skoda after all. My father has taken over the Octy order, and I'm picking up a brand new A6 Sline Avant with heated seats and DAB next week.
I stupidly called into Bradford Audi last week and they offered me a silly high discount on a stock order. So I snapped there hands off.

Erm..... a tradtitonal diff lock as you would find on a proper off roader like a landy defender can not be repliacted by anything in the haldex world.
This switch that people are talking about is just to force the car into permanent AWD mode. Nothing to do with locking the diffs at all.
This explains proper AWD diff setup;
http://www.lcool.org...iffs/diffs.html
Haldex systems don't have the centre diff. They just have propshaft out of the front gearbox/diff and coupling with a hydro electric clutch in the rear diff.

Yey !!! First red estate pic I've found. Now I'm glad I picked that colour for my order.

I've ordered Sports suspension for my combi
-
Good point. Youd hope it had the independant set up rather than the torsion beam. Not that wheel articulation is really that critical on this type of vehicle but independant suspension would provide a better ride over rougher terrain.
It would have to be. The torsion beam would get in the way of the AWD system.

The mk2 pre-fl elegance hatch was £17275 OTR, for a 2.0l tdi. The same spec mk3 is £21990, an increase of 27.3%
Sorry, your figures don't add up. The Mk2 Elegence is no where near the same spec as a Mk3 Elegence. It's comparing Apples and Pears. The Mk2 Elegence is nearer a Mk3 SE.
The Mk3 Elegence is better specced that the Mk2 L&K.

Eh !?!?!... Before DSG all Audi longitudinal based car (A4,A6 etc) auto boxes came in two flavours. Multitronic (nick named multispastic because of is tendency to break - alot and expensively) and Tiptronic.
Tiptronic only ever went on AWD vehicles and is a version of a manumatic system (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manumatic)
Multitronic only ever went on FWD vehicles (http://www.audiworld...c/content.shtml) and is not a pure version of CVT

Its not in eco mode on the drive select is it ?
-
but maybe not everyone prefers/wants the Audi?!
Yep. I hate the plastic dash screen surround so much that it's put me off the B8 A4.
-
Yup. Manual states new Columbus just stops the video, not the audio.

Nearest spec (well some options I couldn't get on The A4) I could get an A4 Avant to mine was £37k ?
When you look at what you get for your money compared to other similar cars... the Octy Combi is still good value.

-
£33K ? Is that with the configurator or by hand ?
-
Though that is pretty pointless without 5.1 audio to feed it.
DVD's :-) I will soon have a mobile cinema for when I go camping, or have to wait around when picking the SWMBO up.

Mines £26,430 GULP !
-
£300. You can open and close the boot (not just pop it but fully open) by the keyfob, button in the dash or button on the tailgate inner/handle
-
Just to confirm from reading the techincal data in the manual.
Basic dimensions for height
Hatch is 1461 estate is 1465
Vehicles with rough road package
Hatch is 1476 estate is 1480
Vehicles with SPORT package
Hatch is 1446 estate is 1450
So a drop of 15mm on the sport
Details take from http://ws.skoda-auto...wnersManual.pdf

Dunno, but my first Octy Combi was a Mk1 Corrida red vRS, so I thought I'd try and return to my roots as it were.
-
Plus if you spec it with the Columbus you get Dolby 5.1 surround sound !
Wireless Android Auto

Ah I must have missed that in the thread. Guess there is no way of getting the dealer to put it at the latest revision ? Even though it went in today for a software update
