  1. If I understand everything..... if you put the ps3 on wifi along with the Pc it all works ? But if you use wired between the PC and ps3 it fails ?

And the PC and Ps3 are on the same switch ?

Whats the ip addresses of the PS3 and PC when hard wired ?

I don't think this has anything to do with the link between the wifi AP and your router.

  2. SWMBO has switched from her Polo to an Octavia... so while we were prepping her car for sale we decided to have a bit of a clean of the others...... Borrowing of neighbours drives a must here. Oh and she's registered on here as Petit Pois.

The car drives well, as expected for a car of this age. The car is in good condtion generally, although there are some small marks in places, which can be seen in the closed up pictures below. The exhaust blows slightly where front section joins the middle box. However this does no affect the drive and performance of the car.

  4. By the way, isnt it funny how none of the Vw/Audi guys never put any Skoda parts on there car :wonder:

What Skoda only parts fit my A4 ? I have a SEAT specific front splitter, and wouldn't worry about fitting any VAG part to my Audi.

What most reverse badge snob people believe that the parts seem to be designated for Audi/VW/SEAT/Skoda etc etc. The're not. They are just VAG.

  5. Looks like BTCC want to go their own way with relatively cheap 2 litre engines. Still will be over 300 hp but rear wheel drive for the one using the VAG chasis and engine !!!!

    ==============================================================================================================================================

Rob Austin announces Audi NGTC engines Headlines - 28 January 2011 By Andrew Abbott - Rob Austin Racing has confirmed that it will be using the VW/Audi Group 2.0 Litre TFSI engine in its BTCC Audi A4 cars. The engines will be prepared by Ric Wood Motorsport at their base in Stockport.

The Ric Wood built engine got very quickly ditched for the proven (ie reliable ) Lehman tuned engine that the Seat and Golfs use. The only reason the Audi is RWD is that the Stock supplied TOCA gearbox for a logitudinal engine can only be configured for RWD use. And because no A4 has a transverse engine, they couldn't dump a FWD gearbox/engine combination in the space frame NGTC front end due to the regs.

In other words.... when the power increases planned for 2013 come in....... The Audi will have a significant advantage against the FWD motors putting power down. Quite a schrewd move from Rob Austin Racing.

  6. Yep. Full NGTC spec cars must be either the complete Swindon built engine provided by TOCA .... OR.... a 2.0T unit from the manufacturor's range of brands using the stock turbo and ECU provide by TOCA.

For example... engine wise (as the confusing factor for 2011/2012 is that S2000 cars can run an NGTC engine) the following cars have NGTC spec engines. I'll group the cars together to show the fact that the engines are identical

Rob Austin Audi A4 (lehman tuned VAG 2.0TFI unit) - FULL NGTC Car

STR Leons (lehman tuned VAG 2.0TFI unit)

AMD Golf (lehman tuned VAG 2.0TFI unit)

    888 Vectras (Swindon / TOCA 2.0T unit)

Pirtek Vectras (Swindon / TOCA 2.0T unit)

Honda Civics (Neil Brown tuned Honda 2.0T unit)

Dynojet Toyota (CRtech tuned Toyota 2.0T unit) - FULL NGTC Car

Speedworks Toyota (Swindon / TOCA 2.0T unit) - FULL NGTC Car

Arena Global Focus (Mountune tuned Ford Ecoboost 2.0T unit)

Motorbase Focus ST (Mountune tuned Ford Ecoboost 2.0T unit)

THMotorsport who are rumored to be building the Skoda; IMHO would be silly not to go for the tried and tested Lehman unit.

Also WTCC and BTCC share no comminality in regs past 2013. And it's likely that WTCC will drop support of outright 2.0N/A - TDI S2000 cars next year, as there is now only one BMW team running a 2.0 N/A unit.

2007 YAMAHA YBR 125 RED - LEARNER LEGAL

I purchased this in April 2011 after passing my CBT to get some practice on before taking my Direct Access Bike tests. I passed this week and I'm now looking to sell, to fund the purchase of a bigger 600cc commuter bike.

It's been a great bike to learn and get experience on. I've used it almost every working day since I bought it, to go to and from work on. Never let me down and starts on the button every time. Garaged over night so not left open to the elements.

    Mileage is 13,130

    MOT till 13/04/2012

TAX till 31/10/2011 (only £16 a year though)

An example of insurance costs.... I'm 30 and with just a cbt certificate and car licence it cost be £80 for the year.

I have the last two MOTs ,V5, Service Book (fully stamped) and Owners manual with original toolkit. This is the fuel injection model, so no messing with the choke on a cold morning.

The bike was last serviced when I bought it from a dealer in York on the 13th of April 2011. It's got good tyres with plenty of tred left. Brakes are good and the chain and sprocket shows very little wear.

The bike does have a couple of cosmetic scars, but has never to my knowledge been dropped, which can been seen by the lack of dents and major scrapes. As seen in the photos there is a scratch on the fuel tank (a new sticker would fix this if one can be sourced), the front fork is showing a little corrosion on the paint but this is superficial, and there is a small nick in the front mud guard. All these can been seen in the pics.

Happy for viewers to have a quick ride up and down the front of my property to test, however a valid cbt certificate will be needed, and the full asking price of the bike in cash in my hand. If the tester drops the bike or damages it; they buy it !! If not I can demo the bike for you.

A full tank of petrol currently costs £11ish and see just over 200 miles. I've been seeing in the region of 110mpg on my commutes to work.

  8. I nearly bought a brand new Octavia L&K 1.8TSI Combi. In fact i actually ordered one..... but skoda kept putting the delivery date back and back to the point it would have been over 6 months since I ordered it before delivery. So when I saw the Audi and managed to negotiate a cracking deal, I cancelled the Skoda order.

  9. It was mentioned on Tin Top Tuesday (BTCC radio show) by Shaun Hollomby (AMD Milltek Golf BTCC team owner) that there is an NGTC Skoda being built for the BTCC. Rumor has it, it'll be an Octy driven by Matt Hamilton.

Fingers crossed this happens. If it does thats all the main stream VAG brand reprosented in the BTCC !!!! SEAT, VW, AUDI and finally SKODA,
