  1. I have decided to sell the Fabia, my mileage to work has halved and just bought a house so need to down-size. The car is factory standard including the stereo, still got the symphony in it. The turbo has been replaced along with some other bits. There are a couple of issues I have not had sorted yet, the front suspension arms are worn and require replacement and the passenger door won't unlock, but have seen posts saying its not a major fix.

I can't seem to be able to add pics via my ipad, but if you pm me and I can send by email.

The body work is good, no signs of any rust, there are a couple of scratches which were there when I bought it.

The car is MOT'd till Feb 14 and I have just taxed it this month so good for 6mths. I am the 3rd owner, it has full service history, many receipts etc, both keys and original stereo key code fob.

I am reluctant to let this go and was hoping for around £3000 but will consider reasonable offers.

P.s forgot to mention it comes with bespoke VRS drivers seat cover, VRS fabric mats and rubberised mats for general use, near full tank of diesel and will be Valeted prior to sale.

  2. Hey peeps, hope you can shed some light, so to speak.

I have an 05 fab VRs and my driver side headlight has blown twice in little over a month. Luckily days are getting longer so not having to use them often. Just wondering if anyone else has had this issue, have checked all the wires, fuses and case etc but cannot see anything wrong.

    Any ideas?

    Many thanks in advance,

  3. We have am 46" Samsung LED and it is great. Picture quality is top notch, don't notice any blurring with motion, use it with a freeview+ HD box, and a PS3 for blu-ray and gaming. BTW the blu-ray in the PS3 is as good as a dedicated player. The only niggle is the sound quality from the TV is not great, but on test in store seems to be a widespread issue. We bought a Yamaha sound bar which is Awseome! We considered a surround system, but the living room is a totally weird shape so not practical. Other than that it has done us proud. Would wholeheartedly recommend Samsung.

  4. Hi,

Just a quick question, probably been asked before but searching turns up nothing. I have a VRs and wonder if there is a service interval? My last car was a Ford Fiesta and the dealer recommended two minor then a major service, repeating 2 minor, 1 major thereafter. Is this similar with the Fab or is it usually 1 minor and then major following?

Just got back to work this month and hoping I can do a minor as I have other things to sort at the same time.

Any help or advice greatly appreciated!

  5. My Fabia is completely standard, to the point that the CD player is the symphony unit installed from the factory. I have no plans to map or mod it and I love it to death. Have added a couple of Briskoda stickers and that's where it stops. I like seeing different modified Fabias on my travels but just love the fact that mine is standard.

  6. I bought a Vita as I loved the PSP and I love the Vita just as much. I agree with the fact that the games recently haven't been up to scratch. I love Uncharted and recently bought Gravity Rush, which is amazing. For me it's the screen that clinches it. However the DS/3DS titles haven't really been that good either, I had a 3DS for a year and only bought 3 games, chipped it all in (plus a couple of PS3 games) for the Vita with GAME and got the Vita, memory card and a game without parting with too much cash so worked out fine.

  7. didn't anyone see last nights Watchdog on BBC. Apart from the dodgy mechanic there was a piece on Kindles freezing.

I have had the kindle 3G for the last 2 years and have NEVER had any problems at all. I use it all the time and have taken it on several holidays, even in 35 degree temps and bright, bright sunshine the screen is always readable. A friend had one and dropped it, Amazon replaced the screen for free! I am considering getting the new kindle touch with 3G as its a bit smaller and lighter (not by much tho) but can't decide whether I can part with my current one.

  8. I am hoping someone could shed some light on my current niggle.

I have a problem with my rear washer, it suddenly stopped working. I removed the boot trim and discovered the pipe had become detached. I reset it and thought that would solve the problem, however it still won't wash the screen. Afterwards the boot release stopped working and I replaced the fuse and motor itself.

I read somewhere that there are 3 connections for the washer line but cannot seem to locate them. I have rechecked the boot lid connection, but is still connected and doesn't seem to be loose.

Has anyone else had this issue and if so what did you do to resolve it.

    Many thanks.

  9. Hi everybody,

Just thought I'd give ya'll a quick howdy.

Popped my skoda cherry last week and purchased an '05 Fabia VRS in silver, got it from autotrader on a private sale and over the moon. I had an 08 Ford Fiesta 1.4 Zetec Blue, Frozen white with ford stripes down each side of the car, (reminiscent of the ST.) Had all the gadgets etc. I can quite happily say that I shan't miss it as the VRS is AWESOME!!!!!! My first turbo diesel and the difference is happily brilliant. Will upload some pics shortly, just have to wait till the weather clears up.

Anyways enough for now but will def tip my hypothetical hat to any other VRS's I see on my travels!
