Definitive answer on the fitting of Seats
Dan Welburn replied to Dan Welburn's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
Ive just took the plunge and bought a hatch interior and it fits perfect, only issue is the airbag wiring is slightly different it seems i need a "patch" wire between the new seats and the loom inside the car as it is not long enough to connect up. im hoping there is such a part and it aint too expensive as ive spent a fortune today already Dan -
Front compliance bushes
Dan Welburn replied to radders567's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
Darkside developments do a pair of the TT bushes (just bushes so would need to be pressed in) for just over £35 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TT-Uprated-Wishbone-Console-Bushes-for-Golf-MK5-Audi-A3-Octavia-Seat-Leon-/131194205608?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Model%3AOctavia&hash=item1e8bc8b5a8 -

Dan Welburn replied to Gibonz's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
As above i have a FL VRs rear waiting to go on my Pre FL estate -
more likely to be a concept for the new superb seen as the mk3 octy is only 2 years into production, daresay will see a facelift of the mk3 in the next 16months like but i agree lovely design

Only thing i was worried about was the killing of the wiper motor and other electrics ive heard about lol but im guessing that was more with the Canbus friendly setup, i bought the non canbus ones, and have definately not got a light so ill just leave it there and be happy also managed to fit led sidelights too Dan

I read on another thread about adding 10 to the coding in byte 4, if i follow what you have done above shall i reverse the adding 10 to the long code? when i added the 10 they work, although the first time i started the car the passenger side lamp went out but after a restart was fine. Cheers for the help

In what way? A lot of the options were available ie coming home leaving home daylight running light options etc etc just not the xenon without shutters

Please feel free to take the mick if I sound dumb here but when you say add 10 to current coding you mean the binary coding? I'm using the long code helper and do not have an option for xenon without shutters I have no bit 4 in my byte 3, my binary code is 00000011 currently or do I add it to the really long number at the top Again apologies I'm not very savvy with vcds only know basics on there Dan

Seen london colour had the hid kits on sale so took the punt and bought a set, arrived promptly and looks a good bit of kit, however ive never fitted HID's before, (always took the xenon bulb route) Most of it looks pretty straightforward howevere theres two wires im assuming a live and ground i have no idea where theyre meant to go? any tips or has someone previously posted a guide to installing this kit? I have searched with nothing of use showing up Cheers Dan

Blowers starting to annoy me!
Dan Welburn replied to Dan Welburn's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
How do you reset them? with vcds? -
My octy has a couple of probs with the blowers, one is only working on highest setting, i will be getting a new thermal resistor for it this week to cure that, other is its constantly blowing out of passenger footwell even if pointed to windscreen (does still blow on windscreen as well) now i did a few searches, and find that a reset of the flaps can be done but i assume this is only on the climatronic heaters, mine is just a manual control panel, any suggestions??
