Hi
After Mogwye helped me on this forum to locate the relay carrier I decided on this cold January night and would try to replace the fuel pump relay thinking it was in position number 15 or 4 from what I had read online on forum posts i had found, ...only problem is there are only 3 relays in position 5, 11 and 12. It was obviously not 12 as that is much larger than the replacement I was given however I thought 5 had the same rating yet when I took it off I could see that the pins were actually located differently (see second pic). I think i have been given the wrong relay unless somebody thinks it may be number 11 instead? that only seemed similar in size though............any ideas??
I ordered one it came today, excatly the same problem, have they sent the wrong relay?

Hi guys, can anybody please take a photo and mark up which relay I need to change for the fuel pump relay, car has been struggling to start of late and have not heard the fuel pump scoosh noise you hear when turning the ignition so have purchased a new relay, I know it is above the pedals somewhere but have not had a look yet, would be a reat help if somebody could snap a quick pic and mark which relay I need to change. Cheers

Right I am going to change the fuel pump relay as I cannot here the lift pump priming anymore and the fuel filter. This relay is on ebay for £15 will it be ok?http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-VEMO-Fuel-Pump-Relay-V15-71-0005-V15710005-/191235203550?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&fits=Model%3AFabia|Cars+Type%3A1.9+TDI+RS&hash=item2c8681a1de

Seems to be getting worse, just seems to be when cold, starts ok when been already running. Do not seem to here the scoosh noise I used to here when you first turn the ignition on any more either.

If you look up crank sensor. Think it could be the reason.
Possibly abit of **** stuck infuel line perhaps.causing the sudden stop have you fuel filter replaced at all?
I think the crank sensor has been replaced last year as well, It would not start when in the garage and they did replace a sensor, it probably is due a service to be fair.

iHave you got a diag checker? That might be able to give you the fault code
Wonder if your battery is getting nackered. Alternator faulty.
It had a new battery in December and had the alternator pulley done in November last year.

Hi guys looking for a bit of help, recently my 2005 VRS has developed a strange problem when trying to start, it starts and fires straight away but immediately conks out, you then have to keep it turning over pumping the throttle until it eventually comes to life. Running ok once started.
Cheers

Think it may have been bashed on the passenger front door. lol

I have a complete interior cloth and foam bud. Johngt has already asked for the drivers seat upper cloth and the base is not in top condition the bolster has worn through unfortunately. If you want any of the other bit's then that's fine I will get my butt into gear and dig them out and get some postage quotes.
Yes dude, still waiting lol :p

I have this exact problem and the push clips are indeed missing from under the bumper, where can I get these?
Never mind ordered from ebay.
-
Pretty common.
crap design really, the brackets bolted to the wing are stronger than the bumper that pushes into the bracket, so the bumper gets broken quite often.
Its worth checking your lower mounting points are fitted though, in the centre looking at bottom of bumper there is 3 holes that should have clips pushed through them, into front panel.
If these are missing the bumper sags and exaggerates the crap fit to wings

Hia, need a drivers seat cover and the double rear base if any one has one? Or if anyone knows where I can get one repaired in the Leeds area? How do they come off?
Cheers
Use the search function mate, this has been well covered and there is a guide on here somewhere.

Contact your nearest Skoda dealer and book an appointment to have it checked and photographed, they will also run a magnet over to check for filler or previous damage. If you are going to book it in give your car a full once over and write down any bubling, check where the back bumper meets the quarter panel and also check for any galv spots. Get it all done under your 10 year warranty before it is too late. I got mine done last year, both quarter panels, sills and a new tailgate done all under warranty.

Cool cheers bud :-)
Love the Pulsar by the way, I used to run a Primera GT but always lusted after a Pulsar/ GTI-R.

Lol sorry I knew what you meant. I converted my seats to Octavia half leather but I kept all the cloth and foam from the originals, it's all in very good condition apart from the drivers seat base (the part that you sit on not the upper part).
I'll have a word with my boss about using the works courier service and see what he says.
Cool cheers bud :-)

Right guys, I have changed the fuel filter and fitted a new fuel pump relay, problem remains, when trying to start she usually fires first time then conks out and you have to turn it over for ages constantly pumping the throttle until it eventually fires up. Any ideas?
