Line Out with CD Changer

Featured Replies

Whilst looking for a line out connector for my standard Skoda stereo all i kept finding was the ones that take up the hole connector hole but as i have a CD changer i needed only the little block for the line out i finally found it i spoke to the seller and showed him the wiring diagram for the stereo and he said that this is the right one

So just thought i would share with everyone in case they are having the same problem

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/260820783044?ssPageName=STRK:MESINDXX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1436.l2649#ht_2370wt_1344

Hope this will help some people out!

So this is for connecting a sub & amp in the boot, to the standard skoda head unit?

wanted to do this but thought it would cost to much!

please post back with results if you have bought one, or correct me if i'm completely wrong.

i purchased it yesterday should arrive on wednesday (fingers crossed) ill let you know how it goes :)

Ohhh I'm interested in this aswell because I love the ome look put want a bit more boom from radio

Nice and cheap too. Others I've seen are £10+

Ah you should've posted that you were looking for one of these.

It's an Autoleads PC-11 lead.

Don't think all heaunits have a line out though.

For standard ones you can just go high level input and use front speaker out for your speakers, rear speaker out for your sub.

Iv got a MFD with a USB adapter thingy. It leaves me a extra plug if I want to use a cd changer too (it takes th? original one in the headunit) so does this just plug into that? Or next to it on the HU? (next to the original cd changer port)

hmm maybe i should have put something out on here before! haha oh well :)

and i was going to give up looking for them too and then i just stumbled across it when i was looking for a amp wiring kit!

It's goes in next to the cd changer input.

Although as I stated I'm not convinced the OEM single DIN have these, just the double DIN.

That's handy as that's what I've got lol. Cheers, I'll have to get one of these then, missing my sub a little bit!

Anyone with the standard single din cd player - head unit confirm if it has the correct wiring for this?

i know 100% mine has the plug at the top for it as i have the 6cd multichanger and fitted the standard oem headunit back in not long ago.

----

I can however say that the standard casset head unit doesnt come with the plug for the multi-changer or anything els.

Matt- Ive got the Autoleads version, PM me if youre interested

Get a pic of the rear of a single DIN and I could tell you

Edit: ill tell you what i know and maybe itll help you. the above picture displays the pin layout for a 3 part plug. Each 3 parts are identical in shape and size, an slot together to form one long plug. The blue part of the plug is for the cd changer, green for 'display', and yellow for LINE OUT.

The unit as standard will have a blue plug for the changer, and a green and yellow dumb plug to make up the full plug. When you purchase something like the Autoleads PC-11 adaptor you simply replace the dumb adaptor with the lead.

My suspicions is the display and line out part of the plug are reserved for the double din only, and the single din units only have the single cd changer input.

On my Symphony I have the changer socket, display socket and line out socket. I hooked up a phone kit into the display portion so that now the audio from my bluetooth goes into the Symphony when a call comes in... the Symphony automatically switches over (and even on, if it's off) to "phone" and pumps the audio through the car speakers. You have to run 1 new cable into the ISO block as well. It's why the system menu in the Symphony has options for phone "IN" and Phone "VOL"

The fact this works makes me think the line out part works too.. the pins and connector are certainly there.. it's just the stock oem Symphony HU.. not the double din..

Here.. this site is full of stuff... http://www.fabia-vrs.com/

Specifically, this page.. http://www.fabia-vrs...it-integration/

If you guys are handy with a soldering iron you can probably buy the lil block connector and pins from VW still and make up your own leads... that's what I did to integrate my phone kit...

Just took the standard Symphony cd player out to check. It does have the plug at the top for this and does have the pins for it as well.

I then checked the standard casset player, it also has the plug but none of the pins so the 6 cd multi-changer, display & line-out is not compatible with the casset.

There is no wiring diagram ontop of either of my head units so cant check if it will fit, but i can confirm your diagram & pins match the back of mine exactly the same.

Also... anybody els buying this should take into account that the plug for the mutlichanger takes up ALL the room for the top slot so will need adjusting to allow room for this line-out plug to be fitted.

The cd mutli-changer plug is yellow and although it takes up all the top slot it only has the 8 wires going to the left side of the cd player so i cant see it being a problem just cutting/snapping/smashing whatever you want to do! with the cd mutli-changer plug to allow room for the line-out plug.

looks confusing to read, so if you dont understand what i've said just message me or make a post.
