Identifying genuine door
My car had a replacement rear door fitted recently but it seems to be less substantial than the original - when I knock on it, it sounds different from the other doors. I can’t see any stamping on any of the doors but I’d have thought that they’d have some marking that’d identify them as VAG doors. Is there a way of telling? The other possibility is that the door is missing a sound deadening pad or similar but without taking off the door card, I can’t be sure.

Wireless charger gets really hot (and so does phone)
It works in the Superb wireless charging section - I'd imagine that the Octavia one is the same

Multiple low voltage warnings on cold days yet starts no issue (car just serviced)
The newer models come with EFB batteries (mine did anyway). In any event, you'll need to get the battery coded to the car so that the car knows at a minimum that it has a new battery and also the type (AGM/EFM) and capacity. The alternator is 'smart' and will charge the new battery incorrectly if it thinks that its still charging the older, weaker battery. In terms of coding the battery, anyone with Carista/OBDEleven etc can do that for you. Otherwise a local mechanic/Halfords might (not sure I'd let Halfords staff near my car if my local branch is anything to go by)

Temporary accident repair tape
Thanks everyone. I was only able to get low tack duct tape at short notice. It'll keep me going for a few days until I get helicopter tape or similar. I have two repair quotes now and just need to do the sums on an insurance claim and see how soon I can get it fixed.

Temporary accident repair tape
Thanks - I'll have a look for something that's not too sticky. Something hit the door while it was closed, most likely a bumper from something that sits a little higher - an SUV of some sort. Luckily, damage is mostly to the door itself.

Temporary accident repair tape
My OSR door got a knock and will need to be replaced. As the door is buckled, a gap has appeared between the door frame and the roof. Does anyone know of a tape that I could apply that'll keep the car weatherproof until repairs can be carried out and which won't damage the paintwork on the roof?

Offside front and rear water ingress
At least you know what the issue is now. Not wishing to be a worry-causer but on modern cars, the windscreen contributes to the structural integrity of the car so if it was me, I'd replace it as sealing isn't going to replace the bonding in structural terms and I doubt that it'd be possible to remove and reinstate the existing windscreen.

What have you done to your Superb III today?
It's standard on mine (a 2021 MY Irish spec Style) and is nothing but an annoyance in the absence of passenger seat memory. My kids are always bumping off it/leaning on the controls and changing the seat position

Fumes in cabin
I'll give that a go and see if there's any difference. Presumably it's a case of listening for the intakes moving? - the recirculation button doesn't light up unless the button is pressed manually

Fumes in cabin
The fumes are there regardless of whether the car is idling or moving. I'll observe for a week or two and see if anything changes. The dealership can check it out while they're changing the oil temp sensor

Fumes in cabin
It seems that someone was working quietly in the background as I was told this afternoon that they've got a new oil temp sensor for me and will look into the other issues while it's being fitted.

Fumes in cabin
It should have been replaced as part of the service plan but conveniently wasn't - I didn't notice until I got home as I was in a rush to get back to work. I don't have much confidence in their ability to diagnose/sort the oil temp issue, especially given that their first reaction was to 'update the software' and that seems to have broken my TSR. To me, the oil temp problem looks like a sensor issue but there is no associated issue with the oil level warning (I think that they share the same sensor). I had a look on erwin and there's no diagnostic advice around the issue so either they can't diagnose without guidance/fault code or they are unwilling to put any effort into figuring it out unless they're sure that Skoda will pay for it. I had a sense that they were uninterested. I'll chase them up on the issue in February and if there's no progress, I'll try another dealership.

Fumes in cabin
Thanks @Danoid - I'd ordered that exact filter and fitted it today - no improvement unfortunately. My original filter was a Denso filter and was quite dirty. I'm currently testing negative for covid and have noticed the slight smell of fumes mostly since the car was serviced in the middle of December. I can't be absolutely certain that it wasn't there before but I think that I've only noticed it since then. I've got an OBD11 dongle. The car is showing a few faults but none relating to the air quality sensor: Central electronics, remote key 2 - voltage too low (B147A18) Dashboard, function restriction due to communication interruption (U111000) Gateway, static current too high, intermittent (U140600) Brake boost, low voltage, intermittent (P056200) Multimedia, function restriction due to communication interruption (U111000) The car currently has an issue with a fluctuating oil temperature reading and my dealer's attempt to fix it with a software update has broken the Traffic Sign Recognition. @toot the car should have got a pollen/cabin filter at the last service but it wasn't done so I replaced it myself yesterday with the Mann activated carbon filter linked to above. The air seems fresher with recirculation on and was that way before the filter replacement too. Car dealerships here are currently flat out as January is peak sales month due to our year based registration system so it's difficult to get a service appointment during January. I'm also waiting for them to hear back from Skoda re the oil temperature issue so they probably won't see the car again for another month. The smell issue is subtle, as none of my passengers have noticed it on short trips or longer journeys. For me, its something that I become aware of after driving for enough time for the car to fully warm up but its nothing overt, just a feeling that the air in the car is fresher when recirculated or when I open the door to get out. I live in a rural area so the outside air tends to be fume free (mostly). I'd like to figure out likely sources for the smell in advance of my next dealership visit but am not overly optimistic if I'm the only one who notices it. For what its worth, I've popped a carbon monoxide monitor under the drivers seat, just in case but I've had no sensation of tiredness/headache etc when driving.

Fumes in cabin
I've a 2021 model year 2.0 diesel Combi with 30,000km/18,000 miles on the clock. It had it's second service just before Christmas. Since the service, I think that I'm getting a faint smell of exhaust fumes in the car. None of my passengers notice it. To me, its present when the ventilation system is working as normal and not there using the bypass function. As none of my passengers notice it, I don't fancy my chances of persuading the dealership that there's an issue. Like a lot of dealerships, an issue would need to have a fault code to be believed. I've searched the forum and not found anything similar. Is there anything that I can check on the car or any suggestions for ways to prove the issue one way or the other?

Error: Dynamic Road Sign Display error
I had an issue with my oil temperature display recently and asked my Skoda dealer to look at it during a scheduled service. They didn't manage to fix the issue and have sent a report to Skoda about it. The dealer did update the car's (ECU's?) software in an attempt to address the issue and now I have a TSR error which had never occurred before. I haven't had the time to go back to the dealer about it but I'm hoping that @Mikeworcs TPI fix arrives sooner rather than later.

Suspension changes through the model years (Koni Special Active question)
Thanks - I hadn't thought of that approach as I had assumed that soft dampers the issue along with soft springs. I thought that soft springs and firm dampers would work better than firm springs and soft dampers. I've worked my way through both threads but I'm not much clearer as everyone's needs (and cars) seem to be different so its hard to figure out one solution that will improve matters without too much of a compromise. I definitely don't want to lower the car, just want less bounce and float without introducing choppiness of pitching. My last car, a Peugeot 5008 had terrible lateral pitching which made quite a few of my passengers sick.

Suspension changes through the model years (Koni Special Active question)
Thanks @MarkyG82 I'll have a closer look at the Bilsteins. Changing over is looking like it'll cost me just under €1,000 so I'd like to be reasonably sure that it'll be worth it.

Umbrellas + Returning From The Dark Side
My MkII came with two umbrellas but my MkIII came with just the one. I had kept one of the MkII umbrellas but found that the newer umbrellas have a oval shaped handle whereas the earlier ones were round. The round one will fit in the holder, just about. The earlier umbrella is much nicer too - a leather handle and nice Skoda scripting on the fabric.

Suspension changes through the model years (Koni Special Active question)
I'm on my second Superb MkIII. My first, a 2016 model, was a 2.0 diesel DSG with 16" wheels so the tyres had quite a high sidewall. It was very floaty and bouncy. My second is a 2021 2.0 diesel manual with 18" tyres. It seems to have less float and bounce but it's still quite soft and one of my kids has an issue with car sickness. I think that my 2016 model had oil filled shocks and my 2021 model has gas filled shocks. I'm thinking about getting Koni Special Active shocks which have got a lot of positive feedback here but I was wondering if the positive reports relate to improvements noticed on earlier oil shock models or if anyone has fitted them to a recent gas shock model. I don't want to go to the expense and hassle of changing the shocks if it doesn't offer a significant improvement over what I have already.
