:| my vrs didn't turn up today...but hopefully tomorrow! Have a loan of this until I pick up my meteor grey beast: http://imageshack.com/a/img908/5315/2hzZVr.jpg
Nice drive, but a wee bit of turbo lag low down, then the turbo picks up quite hard at about 1.8k rpm.
Link not working! Post the VRS when you get it Picking up a Fabia Monte Carlo estate in meteor grey this weekend.

Car should be at the dealers this evening.
Picking it up Saturday (Assuming there are no issues on delivery!)

Great !!
That looks like it, that arrived this morning.
No car carriers due into either Dublin or Cork for the next few days at least.
They can take about a week from port to dealer. From Dublin Port, they go to a holding area in Baldonnel and then are distributed from there.
Christmas is early for you this year Macburns !!
Ciao !
[ ps : make sure camera battery charged and lenses clean - we want pics !!! ]
Fingers crossed so!
Lots of pictures on the way

Frisia ETA 02:53 in the morning !!!!
(Torture, eh ??? )
The dealer emailed me this morning, should have it for the long weekend!
I asked had it arrived in Ireland and he said it should land in the next day or two but I think he meant get to their showroom unless there is another boat coming in soon?

Depends on when your's got to Emden, Mcburns ... but the ship Frisia left Emden on Monday night, and is arriving in Dublin early in the morning. Fingers crossed yours is on there !!!
If so - you should have it in about a week.
Don't get my hopes up!

I would say 4 weeks minimum, it depends on how quick it gets put on the train to Emden after it's built then how long it waits for a berth on the ship to the UK. Once it's in the UK you'll could be waiting up to 2 weeks. It's getting into the quiet time of year now leading up to Christmas so you may just hit lucky.
Waiting 1.5 weeks so far since mine was built, don't think it is even on a ship yet.
-
Mine was built at the start of last week (7 weeks after ordering 15th August).
Still no news about ETA. Hoping i'll have it by the end of October. 4 weeks for delivery after build seems long to be waiting!
-
Mine still hasn't moved.... Although seeing all the pics I am very tempted to phone up and get the 17"s slung on there as it still isn't anywhere near the build date!!
17s AND sports suspension. Go on do it, you know you want to!

Was yours build week 41 Gr4fiksm4an? If so, not too bad! You can always check out the Emden port website, to properly geek out and guess which boat yours is on

The boat Emden left the port Emden today heading for Sheerness ETA tomorrow and there is another one EMS Highway heading for Grimsby ETA Sunday.
I know this because mine was build week 41 as well and my dealer informed me Tuesday that it had already been built. Hoping its on the Emden as I'm sure this continues on to Ireland after Sheerness :p

Gather it can take nearly a week for batch of cars to be "trained" up to Emden Port.
Then cars grouped until enough to make a trip to Ireland viable. Emden (the Ship) is going into Emden (the port) tomorrow(8th Oct). It usually comes into Dublin port. My car came into Cork on the Southern Highway. However, it's in South America at the moment - but ... African Highway is also going into Emden tomorrow (8th Oct).
You can keep a check there on Marinetraffic.com - the link for Emden Port is http://www.marinetraffic.com/en/ais/details/ports/175 - and you click on the ships in port to see what their destinations are !!
Check Cork Port ( http://www.marinetraffic.com/en/ais/details/ports/247 ) for finals...
Then you get up at dawn and head down to Little Island (or Tivoli Docks) with your binoculars and long-zoom, and photo the ship coming into port.
If you sneak into the docks - you might even see them drive your car off the ship - it'll be easy to spot !!
Hopefully my dealer will have some info for me soon on which ship its going to be on.
That's a really handy site, will keep an eye on comings and goings from Emden.
Also the ship Emden arrived in the port Emden this evening

Not to rub it in your face or anything but mines being built this week and should be ready for collection by the end of the month.
I ordered on the 18th August and have made a few changed!
You and me both

Found something that annoys me! The heating controls! When I turn the temp down to min the re circulation turns on and so does the a.c.. I don't want that!! It does other strange things too depending on the position of the temp and air direction. Listen car I know how to demist and heat a car!!! You back right off! Lol
And postion one on the blower seems really weak where as position two is like a hurricane!!
Do you have the climatronic? (It's an option in Ireland).
I remember the same thing happening in my father's MK2 Octavia. Not sure if it happens in his MK3.

No worries at all Dithane! Down in Midleton myself so not far away at all. Yes there is a quite similar Ford colour, its not as nice though :p

A lot of people had their delivery moved forward so it might be worth getting an update from your dealer? Mine moved from 44 to 41 a few weeks ago.
What did you order?

Happy with my Monte Carlo estate order but I would be so disappointed if a VRS version came out. So for that reason out of spite I hope it doesn't. :p

Yeah the dealer did it for my wife's Citigo too which was sweet as we were on holiday so she had to wait for a few days knowing it was ready!
No idea on the roof but happy to measure it tomorrow when I get it!!!
We demand pictures!

That's a lovely touch by the dealer! I wish more people understood that it'd small inexpensive things like this that make the difference and generate positive word of mouth publicity.
Car looks great! Is the panoramic roof larger in the estate? I've seen it in the hatch but the one in yours looks much larger.
