That will be correct, probably changed the design over the years. I had the same happen to mine so removed the bung remove the rust treated it and used some tiger seal to put it back in.

Another newish member I have been kicking about using briskodas wealth of knowledge. After always wanting a mk1 VRS the opportunity came up last year to buy my work colleges black mk1 VRS, he owned the car from 20k miles and changed everything and anything it ever needed with genuine part for the last 12 years or so including oil change every 5k miles! You probably wonder if that’s true but it is as we are both Audi technicians and I have worked with him over 10 years. I have seen the repairs and services etc. The car came to me with 183k miles and run exclusively of Vpower diesel all that time. obviously I will keep up with the oil changes and once a month it gets shell V power as it’s a bit too expensive to use every time. anyway if anyone needs any Audi help let me know. thanks Chris

Hi bud i have scanned with vcds but no door lock faults. Im going to have another at look at the coding and see if its as it should be

So I activated drive away locking via VCDS on my 05 VRS and all seemed well for a few days but the last few days after around 10 miles or so the doors randomly unlock themselves. I initially thought I hit the door unlock button by accident but then it keeps happening. Its not every trip though, anyone have any experiences of these gremlins? The cars done 180k and mechanically well maintained by previous owner who is audi diagnostic technician and good friend of mine. He he did not have drive away locking activated so never experienced this. Anyway thanks for reading Chris
