  2. 102 smd's haha would probably have to remove the glass lense too to fit those in haha! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2x-H3-XENON-WHITE-HID-9-LED-FOG-LIGHT-BULBS-6000K-/180786926757?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2a17bd94a5 These look like the ones I have. Think I need bigger ones!
  3. They aren't as bright as I'd hoped! So I think il remove the cage bit at some point. triggerfish I will get a pic up tomorrow mate
  4. Haha funny enough I just realised that after I prized it off! Went back on easily tho so no probs. they are bright LED's but more for aesthetics to be honest. Cheers
  5. Hi everyone. In the middle of changing my fogs to LED. Am I supposed to remove the metal bulb surround bit inside the glass? Seems to ruin the light for LEDs. Thanks in advance! Carl
  6. +1 for H7r they are much better. I currently have my HID's in reflectors and i know its not ideal but i have never been flashed or anything. They will stay there until i have saved enough pennies for some proper projector headlights which should hopefully be in the next few months
  7. Firstly as already said. Read the instructions!!! Take of the plastic panel behind the light Drill with a hole cutter or something similar to suit the size of the grommet (rubber disc thing) on the bulbs. Swap the original bulb for your HID asif it was an ordinary bulb. Carefully thread the wires through the metal retaining clip to hold the bulb in. Or remove it and clip it back in over the wires. Plug the wires into your ballest. Find somewhere to put the ballests so they are secure. Preferably use the brackets they come with and screw them to something.
  8. Hi Pastyboy! Is it too late to ad my order to this? If not could i get 2 of the retro badges "silver on black" (pictured in your OP) in 80mm please? Cheers, Carl
  9. If you look on ebay for metal based ones they are easy to find and would probably cost you £15 .
  10. Hi mate, i had this when i fitted one a while back. Went back to standard bulbs myself. Is the part that locates it plastic or metal? Mine were plastic and by the looks of it not moulded very well so it couldnt locate properly and sit level. Maybe worth checking out if they are plastic ones?
  11. See post #596. http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/2158-warning-fabia-door-leaks/page__st__570#entry2914081 That looks about right doesnt it??
  12. http://web.archive.org/web/20120621172507/http://www.fabia-vrs.com/technical-info/door-carrier-repair/ I had planned to use this guide when the weather warms up a bit but the website has gone down :(. Pictures don't work on mine. Is it just me? Or can nobody get the pictures?
  13. Been wanting to paint the chrome part of my grill for a while now. Not sure if i should go for black or red. Plasti Dip seems to be a prefered method. Has anyone used red plastidip? http://www.amazon.co.uk/Plastidip-Plastic-Rubber-Paint-400ml/dp/B00176DDPK/ref=sr_1_2?s=diy&ie=UTF8&qid=1360593859&sr=1-2 http://www.amazon.co.uk/Plastidip-Plastic-Rubber-Paint-400ml/dp/B000LNOOEO/ref=sr_1_5?s=diy&ie=UTF8&qid=1360593859&sr=1-5 Cheers, Carl
  14. I really dont get the point of bonnet bras. You use one to keep your bonnet nice.... Yet you cant see your bonnet to apreciate that its being kept nice anyway because you have a bonnet bra coviering it? Just my opinion anyway. As said above its your car at the end of the day so how you feel about it is all that matters.
  15. Looks good mate! How much did it cost you?
  16. As said above . Takes as little time to restore as it does to jailbreak. It's a personal preference. I like having mine jailbroken and have had no problems. But im not about to go and tell everyone they should or shouldnt do it.
  17. oops! Sorry about that. Although its not necesarily for piracy as there are some other apps on there that do not feature on apples app store. I definitly agree its not as usefull as it used to be. Maybe when apple release there own Gameboy and Snes emulators i might reconsider jailbreaking
  18. There are various alternatives to Instllous out there http://jaxov.com/2013/01/top-3-best-installous-alternatives/. And if you use Appsync you can download apps on your PC then ad them to itunes and sync them onto your iphone/pad. Basically it opens your iphone/pad to apps and tweaks that don't go through the apple app store. and also if you wanted to you can have various app stores like installous where you can almost any app for free.
  19. Yeah Cydia has plenty in it but its not loading properly due to the overwhelming demand its getting atm.
  20. Jailbroke my Ipad this morning, it worked perfectly and completely untethered. How to guide: http://www.jailbreakmodo.com/iphone-5-jailbreak-using-evasi0n-ios-6-1-jailbreak-tutorial.html Downloads: http://www.jailbreakmodo.com/evasion-jailbreak-download-direct-links.html Enjoy
  21. I used some on my MG ZR i had previously. Obviously these cars are notorious for head gasket problems. I had the "mayo" on my cap but only a fraction of it compared to the photo above. The car went on fine for another 2 years & 25k miles until i sold it.
  22. for peace of mind maybe get some K-Seal. http://compare.ebay.co.uk/like/200694676332?var=lv&ltyp=AllFixedPriceItemTypes&var=sbar&cbt=y
