  1. Hi, my blue tooth OBD Eleven dongle is a very tight fit which I found very difficult to remove so I have strong cord around the body as a pulling out harness.
  2. Hi, I have an OBDEleven ( https://obdeleven.com/en/) which works well and I believe is a lot cheaper than VCDS. It uses a blue tooth dongle and app on your phone. I have had mine a couple of years now and cost under £40 for the basic version and about +£25 for the "professional".
  3. Hi, Just thought I would share this. The wipers on my daughters fabia decided to not turn off! High speed and low speed operated but with the ignition on the wipers would not turn off. I found an excellent video by Igor on CarsExposed and this explained the problem is normally caused by dirty contacts (copper filings etc) shorting these contacts. I got the stalk assembly out and the contacts were covered in a greasy dirty paste. After cleaning and re-assembly wipers are now working fine. Assembling the rear latch can be quite fiddley and the first time I got the rear screen set of sliding contacts in the wrong place. So apart from the wipers being on all the time the rear screen wiper did not work and the screen wash jets were on all the time. Took it apart and this time assembled latch correctly and now all is well.
  4. Let us know how it goes.
  5. Hi, I have not had the cam belt changed yet so haven't tried to source a pump without a sleeve. However I would guess that a pump for a Seat or Audi for the same engine code would be the same for a Fabia. I suppose it is a matter of talking to a good independent parts supplier. Often they can get one in and you can have a look at it. Let us know how you get on. Also if you plan to do it yourself a step by step set of instructions would be useful. Regards
