Ive only just realised why my pipe work looks loads different than it used to Since the car has been in 2 garages for major work on it, they must of plumbed the pipes in differently, like the other way round See the diffence??
-
So as above Show my your coolers/pipework I Im going to be re doing mine soon, re routing it all I remember seeing someone on here that ran theres behind and under the car more as a posed to right under the cooler. Remember it had a million cable ties on? Care to speak up? Think ill be taking that route now Heres mine at the moment anyways Basically because i have no foglights or covers and ya can see my boost pipes, im going to try and get each side symmetrical with hard pipes. Same pipes going at same angles Let me see what ya got

Where could my power steering fluid be leaking from?
JakeSVRS replied to JakeSVRS's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
So i could potentially need a new rack? -
thats what i was thinking pal, but then knowing my luck the actuall alternator would then go a week later lol
-
All the codes were cleared both when i had the work done on my car (about 2 months ago) and also the other day when we reset them I had a reallly loud squeak so whipped the belt off and noise went Taken off the alternator now as i believe it needs replacing
-
First of all, are any of these codes to do with the alternator?? And second, how easy are the glow plugs to change?? Could somebody elaborate on all this for me atall? Just found out a new alternator is around the £100 quid mark so really not keen on changing it if it doesnt need replacing
-
how much am i lookin at for glowplugs?
-
Yeah. Dont quite know specifically what they are though. Cant work out why battery test came back OK?
-
N how much am I looking at for a MAF? A mate was sayin I can just unplug it and see if it runs better n if it does then ye MAF is defo knackered Just wana get it right
-
Cheers for the replies guys I popped to quick fit first to get a quick battery and alternator test and apparently there for. Could do with a charge but fine The glow plugs will explain the rough starting won't they

Getting it plugged in tonight matey
-
Oh if only i could go back this far lol. This was before my engine blew up n everything. Cant even remember what was wrong with it. Think it was blowing soot in the engine bay but ended up being a leak in the egr pipe

What Mr Skoda Dan Man said

Cheers for that matey. Just found a goo read up about how to change the PAS Sensor. Apparently the standerd ones are plastic and crappy? Think this could be my problem? Are they expensive as i guess could do with changing anyway...

Right guys, talk to me Has anybody else had their power steering go hard on full lock? Mine started doing it about a week ago and its gradually getting worse and worse and now effecting normal driving :( bit scary to be honest So my question is, firstly has anybody else had this issue atall? And seconds, could it really be something as simple as power steering fluid being low? Ive heard the power steering reservoir is a right pain to get to? Under the battery n all that?? Ive got a bad front end knock at the moment so thought maybe that could have something to do with it but really dont know Any help would be highly appreciated Cheers peoples Jake

We did discuss a rough time. He gave me a stupid estimate and said it would be done and ill be back on the road in a week tops. He is a one man band and has to have a mate come in in his spare time to help him with the two man jobs! I dropped the car off then drove past a few days later and the thing hadnt even moved I expect to pay for parts like gaskets and seals and that but when it comes to fitting a new water pump without asking me when it didnt actually need one and all sorts of other stuff without notification aswell. He even thinks its acceptable to have my intercooler sprayed black!? When i wanted it silver like it was I wasnt ringing him every 30 seconds, just every few days. And the main reason why i was ringing him is because he had promised to ring me at such a time on such a day and failed to do so 100% of the time! And as for the fuel and gearbox a tenner in my tank would of done to test it properly. £10 is nothing off a £2000 bill to make sure the car is working properly is it not? The gear linkage was clearly not right by eye. Darkside sorted it within 10 mins -

On the cheap? Must be joking. DervDoctor told me to go and source and buy an engine. So thats exactly what i did. ASZ or BLT he said, even tho i bought an ASZ and had to both buy more parts to make it fit, and wait another week!
