  1. I was researching fuel additives for my 2017 2.0TDI 190hp as it seems to be running rough at the moment. It is due for an oil rinse and service but I was wondering if an additive may help smooth out the engine running a bit more. I have used Redex previously but that was mainly because this is wha they had in Costco, this time I thought I would ask the forum for people’s recommendations and experiences using these fuel additives to improve engine running
  2. The garage that did the first change has confirmed 140k
  3. any links as all my searches just bring me back to Volkswagen pages similar to the Skoda ones
  4. I looked on the Skoda site but could only find the more generic service schedules
  5. Okay I'm completely confused now when I try to find the recommended interval to change the timing belt on my 2017 Superb 2.0 TDI 190...... I changed the orginal belt just before 60k as the water pump went kaput but as I'm just going over 120k I thought I would be looking at another rather large bill. But looking on the forum and elsewhere online there seems to be complete confusion as to what the recommended interval now is????? Is there a source of the official Skoda tables showing the intervals?
  6. @Johncee did the relay replacement fix your fan issue? I have the same, but reading through your thread, other people are saying that the issue returns after a few weeks of replacing the fan relay?? After charging up the battery and driving to the garage, they confirmed the P068B error code but couldn't say what was causing it. And that a relay can't independently supply power as it needs a signal ???
  7. Thanks @Warrior193 It was several hours after the car was shut off and appears to match the problem above with the faulty relay, fingers crossed. It is the 190bhp 2.0 tdi
  8. Thanks @Shuggyboatsuperb i did find that post last night whilst digging through and it seems to match my symptoms so hopefully it’s a relatively cheap relay solution
  9. Strange one, but hoping for the insight of the forum. I went out last night to pick up one of my kids, back on the drive by about 21:15 no issues no warning lights nothing...... Go to drive the car today in the afternoon and it's dead as a dodo. First, I thought it was the key battery, but it was actually the car battery that was completely flat. The battery was only changed two and a half years ago, so that shouldn't be an issue, but my daughter did say she could hear what sounded like a fan running late last night, after 23:00, as her bedroom is closest to the drive. Does anyone have any ideas why the fan would be running all by itself until the battery was dead? The only thing that may be connected is that I had the a/c compressor changed just over a week ago, not sure how they are contacted, but I did see a person ask about the air con in a similar related thread. The battery is on charge now, so if I can get the car started tomorrow, I will take it to the garage to see if any codes pop up
  10. Just got the same error myself, did you ever find the answer? Also did you have any issues with the engine starting? I have keyless start which sometimes doesn't fire
  11. I seem to be getting excessive wear on my tyres, and as they are 235/40/19 all season's they aren't exactly cheap. The first time we noticed it was in Sept 2023 when I had to replace the front Bridgestones even though the main body still had lots of thread left, see photo. Now I have just been hit with replacing the front and back 😡 with wires showing on some of them. When I had the first issue the mechanic that did my servicing said it was a common problem with the Superb's and inside wear but now I'm thinking it is down to the state of the roads and the tracking constantly being knocked out. What are everyone's thoughts? Tracking or inherent Superb issue, my current garage has already warned that trying to adjust the rear tracking might result in having to replace parts
  12. Update: everything was good when I went to the skip. No errors thanks for the help
  13. I think it was a 3rd party seller and I’m always reluctant and suspicious when a saving is too good? Besides we are taking £3 difference and Tanya almost did next day
  14. Sorry I forgot about the full lock step. Now I just have the start stop error but I need to take the old battery to the skip so we will see if it goes
  15. @varooomSo Tanya were fast getting me the new battery and the battery was a simple enough swap but now I’m getting several errors when I restart but they don’t seem related to the battery? Tyre Pressure Indicator, ESC, Hill Hold, Front assist and a Stop/Start error
