  1. The wife and I are about ready to chuck in the towel with ours nipped out in ours the other morning and I was convinced that while approaching home going up the hill the stuttering was that bad at 20mph that I would have sworn it was gonna break down 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

  2. I know mines a dsg but also suffers from the same problem bloody annoying at 20 mph stuttering along could have sworn this morning that it was gonna give up the ghost it was that bad and apparently there is no fix for the dsg equipped cars as yet 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️ My dealer had it for 2 months earlier this due to it doing the non responsive throttle trick and we refused to drive it till it was sorted but said applied fix was supposed to cure the stutter as well but to no avail it's getting to the point of giving them the bloody thing back, still love the car and it's probably the best skoda we've had to date but there comes a point when you've had enough

  3. Hi all my dsg equipped car has similar problems to everyone else 20-30 mph light throttle gives it a nice stutter but mine also had a very dangerous thing as it suffered from no throttle response which was very unnerving and scared the hell out of the wife. The problem occurred when rolling up to a junction lift off the brakes rolling momentum carries you out into the road and you naturally press the accelerator and yep nothing happened engine sat on tick over not to bad in town but when joining a 60 mph road made it interesting. Took skoda over 2 months to write new software for it, l refused to drive it so they put me in a hire car hope this helps. Ironically it's going back in Friday as the stutter is no better but not had the unresponsive issues reappear yet

  4. obviously jonny you dont like diesils and only know how to make rapid progress by reving the arse of a petrol engine and lets be fair you can only do so much with traffic today without being classed as a k**b. Im not insulting you but am sure you get what me is saying
  5. All this is very interesting but reading the specs on the petrol vrs 7.3s to 60 now using the A1 as an example the cr143ps the are quoting 8.0s to sixty add in the £20 for road tax and a quoted 69.8mpg on the combined cycle am i right or wrong that makes a lot of sense if you like driving diesil cars as i do and to say a derv is no fun why do octy vrs diesils sell like hot cakes its all about grunt why drop 2 gears to overtake someting when you can just plant the trottle and go in a realworld driving from a to b there would not be owt in it to me its all about personal choice and also cr does not sound like a tractor on start up
  6. Am looking to downsize from my octy cr vrs but dont want a petrol atried a monte carlo and its not got enough ummph after a CR170 vrs has any one heard of any rumours assosiated with the diesil vrs coming back/. I notice audi have put the 140 diesil in there A1 so who knows your thoughts would be greatly appreciated
