  1. Had an email from Bristol Street Motors regarding pre-reg Nissan Leaf N-Connecta @£15000

A solid colour (Red) but not much else available for the price.

Admittedly an outdated vehicle (CHAdeMO), but a decent home charged commuter option ?

Half the time mine reports the car is unlocked when it isn't.

A lot of gimmicks that most wont use.  If it was £10 I might renew but it's not worth what Skoda ask.

From recollection my car would report this, although there is an option to refresh vehicle status 👍

I totally agree it's not worth renewing at the price asked

Is this happening on Evo2 Manuals as well?

Yes - it's been an issue for our car from the time it was delivered (23 reg).

I trialled E5 and found no noticeable improvement in driving dynamics.

We have owned a considerable number of cars, including many VAG products and find this manual Karoq 1.5 TSi to be prone to stalling and difficult to drive in traffic / at low speed.

I'm not a fan of DSG, but we hugely regret our decision to opt for a new manual Karoq.

The only positive for me is it has proved relatively frugal, although this in no way makes up for it's clear deficiencies.

Frustratingly a friends manual 1.4 TSi Octavia is equally economical, but is a considerably more pleasant car to drive on a daily basis.

    MPG over first 20k miles:

Having just collected a 6 month old Karoq, I am naturally exploring all the features. The Skoda Remote Access runs until Dec 2023, so I've registered to see what it provides. Does anyone know if data is transmitted  every time its driven.  So for example it it were stolen I would be able to locate it via the Remote Access App.  I

I had remote access for the first year and was able to locate the car (assuming it was stationary).

Didn't seem worth the £80 annual renewal fee so I allowed it to lapse when the car was 1 year old.

To be fair most manufacturers will say the same with aftermarket towbars and I certainly agree if bypass relays are used and cuts to wiring are made.

It is a grey area, if Skoda have given the car a GTW figure then it is homologated to tow that weight whatever Skoda may say. Dedicated vehicle specific electrics should not require modifications to wiring looms.

I'd run it by my local dealer who we've had 16 cars from first. I doubt there'll be an issue.

It was my local main dealer who raised the concern regarding an after market towbar and implications for the manufacturer warranty.

I was told in the event of any issue relating to the cars electrical systems they would require the towbar removing before investigating under warranty.

PF Jones were planning on fitting the manufacturer specific wiring and told me they have the capacity to code the car.

In the end it seemed to be too much hassle, so I cancelled the towbar, especially as I'd specified the 5 year warranty.

Be interested to hear what advice you are given as I suspect we use the same Main dealer?

My car is a 2023 1.5 TSi manual which I ordered without towbar prep.

I had intended using the towbar to facilitate carrying bikes, but gave up on the idea, despite PF Jones telling me it was feasible.

I'll check the plate on my car tomorrow and will report back👍

    Sorry for the delay.

Noisy on ours too - they did grease them, and that seemed to "soften" the noise so it's more like a chattering than a knock, but it's still there.

Was interesting that they gave me an identical courtesy car and that was totally silent.

Indeed - every other Karoq I've driven hasn't exhibited the noise, although I'm strangely glad to hear I'm not alone!

    Thanks,

That's not actually my plate, it was just for reference.

I've seen a few Octavia petrols with 0 on the GTW plate which means aftermarket towbars cannot be fitted.

I pick my Karoq up on Wednesday but totally forgot to check the GTW figure.

    Worryingly the brochure states.
