  1. I opted to butcher the A335H and extract the blade! After a little experimentation I was fortunately able to non-destructively disassemble the OEM item and successfully translated the Bosch blade, which is silent in operation😀 Not easy to take apart, but pleased I avoided paying £28 for a sub-standard part👍 Hopefully Bosch will update their catalogue with the new part 🤞
  2. I purchased the A335H from eBay, but unfortunately it does not fit my 2023 SE-L Karoq. The original (top & right) and A335H are below for comparison. The local main-dealer quoted £28 for OEM replacement, which I'm not keen to go with given the original has performed poorly (juddering) from just a few months old. Guessing I'll try one of the others mentioned above👍
  3. Yes - just had the first (variable) service on my 11 month old 1.5 TSi manual (@16k miles) and the service advisor confirmed updated guidance that brake fluid is now recommended every 2 years (@£84). Apparently this involves removing the rear wheels on a Karoq, so it is £10 more costly than on a car with a manual handbrake?
  4. This mornings sunrise was considerably better than the sunset!
  5. And I couldn't afford a Ford Capri!
  6. I spent my formative years watching Minder, so it was inevitable I'd want an XJ😁
  7. There literally is nothing quite like an old V8 Jaguar 👍
  8. Couldn't resist a gratuitous photo of my not an X-type 😁
  9. Suspect I missed a pretty spectacular sunset this evening 🤦‍♂️ (and the Jag needs cleaning 🫣)
  10. Have seen the same message myself and like the other replies I formed the opinion it relates to the car not having fully woken up. Certainly have never seen the message when the car has been running for a while
  11. I guess it's feasible you could compromise your car's manufacturer warranty, although I've used Carista on many previous (VAG) cars and had no issues. I did explore customisation options for my 2023 1.5 TSi SE L manual, but found little of interest. I was disappointed to see the option to alter throttle mapping has disappeared🤨 The threat of implications for my manufacturers warranty was ultimately the primary reason I opted not to go with an aftermarket towbar for my car, despite assurances from PF Jones though - more here:
  12. Assuming this is the same system as my 2023 SE L - swipe down from the top of the infotainment screen and you should see rhe cars current setting. Selecting the right hand most icon will bring up another menu where you can configure Privacy setting (left hand symbol represents max privacy-> right gand symbol min privacy). It has me stumped for a while when I first took delivery!
  13. Colourful start to the day...........
  14. This mornings sunrise ............
  15. Sorry to perpetuate thread drift, but thought I'd mention my recent pot hole experience. I hit this whilst driving on Friday (in the dark) and cycled back to take a closer look. Given the implications of what might happen if you unsuspectingly came across in the dark (on motorbike/bicycle) I opted to report to the local council, only to find numerous previous numerous reports, the earliest of which dated back 1 month!! The website reported 'awaiting inspection'. Given this is a major/ high speed road I emailed the local councillor, but am yet to receive any response. In the meantime I headed back in daylight this morning and see it's now been outlined in paint, presumably as a precursor to an imminent (? temporary) repair?
  16. I noticed this option wasn't available for my 2023 1.5 TSi either (Carista Beta). It was definitely available on past Yeti's and appears on my 2019 Mii👍
  17. Wonderful skies this evening ............
  18. Moon was bright though and my Galaxy S23's camera surprised me with it's abilities 😮
  19. Not entirely sure why, but I somehow thought we'd have an especially dramatic sunset after all the recent weather, but it kinda fizzled out on me ............🤨
  20. Fair to say it's windy! 20240123_170437.mp4
  21. A few from this evening.........
  22. A few photos from Attenborough Nature Reserve yesterday afternoon (just before Storm Isha hit). Still a few signs of the recent flooding, although the Geese were making it look easy in the high winds!! The glorious old Landie doesn't appear to have turned a wheel in many a year
  23. I've had a little glimpse of a potential future for the Car repair industry this morning 🤔 One of the car information services I'm subscribed to has launched an Ai mechanic: https://vehiclescore.co.uk/ai-mechanic
  24. Glorious sky on the way home earlier
