1.5 Tsi Power Cutting Out
Nearly at the end of a tank of Shell V-Power E5 and no appreciable difference in resistance to stalling, performance or economyπ Next step will be to consider a pedal box (or a different car altogether!)

10 months update-Karoq sportline 1.5dsg
Same here - spent the cost of paint on Winter Pack+ Worth every penny - 4 heated seats and wouldn't want to be without a heated windscreenπ

Emergency Autonomous Braking
A local road earlier. Looking at that crash I guess there is something to be said for new cars having mandatory emergency autonomous braking as standard π€ I'm guessing the rear most car (? a Skoda) braked autonomously.

1.5 Tsi Power Cutting Out
150 miles in on Shell V-Power E5 and no noticeable change in stalling characteristics.

1.5 Tsi Power Cutting Out
Just got through the first tank of E5 with no noticeable improvement in stall resistance, although as the last tank was Tesco Momentum 99 I'm giving a tank of Shell V-Power E5 a go - @Β£1.649/litre π¬ Will report back

ACT 2 cylinder mode
On my 20231.5 TSi SE-L (smaller virtual cockpit) a blue symbol stating 'eco' lights up in the bottom right hand corner, whenever it runs in 2 cylinder mode, irrespective of dash configuration. Without the symbol indicating it is running in this mode I wouldn't otherwise be aware as there is no change in engine note. I find it a little distracting though as I often mistake the symbol for main beam!

TSI engines
Guessing this is the engine in my 2023 1.5 TSi? Evo2? https://www.greencarcongress.com/2022/07/20220719-evo2.html

1.5 Tsi Power Cutting Out
I also wondered if altering the Throttle mapping (? with OBD11) might improve the car's driving dynamics? I recall Carista had this option for my previous Yeti, although this option doesn't appear for the Karoq unfortunately.

1.5 Tsi Power Cutting Out
A few 100 miles on E5, but no improvement sadly I did however come across this option and may well try it out: https://progressiveparts.com/product/iotuning-iopedal-remote-control-pedal-box-all-vehicles-security-mode#tab-vehicle_fitment

Best Skoda ever?
I suspect this is the exact Karoq I ought to have boughtπ I did play with the configurator last night though and easily came to a price worryingly close to Β£50k for a 2.0 TSi and a few choice options π¬

Best Skoda ever?
My 2023 SE-L Karoq has a heated windscreen, although this was part of Winter Pack+ USB C ports are poorly sited and I suspect may not prove especially robust in regular use. The hard drive is not missed though, given I used a 128 Gb USB stick π

Has 1.5 TSI engine now been fixed?
The main dealer said the car was 'up-to-date' when it was recently serviced. Not sure where I'd find the engine code?

Has 1.5 TSI engine now been fixed?
I would say not entirely fixed - my wife and I find our manual 1.5 TSi (2023 - owned from new) difficult to drive smoothly, especially in traffic and very easy to stall. It seems slow to rev and it proves difficult to modulate the throttle and clutch, which often leads to it stalling at inopportune moments. The engine also stalls at low revs, without my much/any prior warning (it does not appear to "labour" prior to stalling). No fault found at recent service.

1.5 Tsi Power Cutting Out
Figured I'd revisit E5 and have filled up with Tesco Momentum 99 and will report back

Best Skoda ever?
It's simply a car I've never gelled with. Whilst the Karoq is perfectly competent, it's in no way a joy to drive, or own, all in my opinion of course. I suspect I may well end up with another Yeti, although given my experience with my last one, definitely sans pan roof! The Yeti is a tough act to follow, whereas there is little to distinguish the Karoq from it's VAG Brethren. My advise would be to take a Karoq for a long test drive and see what you thinkπ

Best Skoda ever?
Speaking as a former Roomster owner (a wonderful remapped 1.9 TDi and then a pretty disappointing 1.6 TDi) I can only agree with pretty much everything Jayemm had to say. My favourite Yeti was a facelift 2.0 TDi 140 BHP (with a Shark Stage 1 map) closely followed by a rather wonderful (right up until the pan roof started leaking) pre-facelift 170 Elegance. Happily I traded the 170 in for my current Jag π

Best Skoda ever?
I have to agree with him - without doubt the best car Skoda ever made (I had 4 of them!)π I can attest to the Karoq being in no means a worthy successor.............. Youtube
