  1. Can only imagine he was extremely careful!
  2. Hi and welcome to Briskoda. Having just switched from a manual 1.5 TSi SE L (which was pre-speed alert) to a new DSG 1.5 TSi Sportline I'm certainly with you on the tedious speed alert bongs ๐Ÿ˜ฌ My Carista is unable to even pair with the car, so for the time being at least I guess switching them off permanently is not an option๐Ÿ˜• When I remember I use the steering wheel button to access both the speed alert and lane keeping menu and disable them. I've covered 2000 miles now with my first DSG and find it reasonably smooth, although a little 'clumsy' compared with a torque converter and not that responsive when first setting off.
  3. Dropped a mate off to collect a car and spotted this on permanent display in the showroomโšก
  4. Always had a soft spot for these although not too sure about the colour ๐Ÿค”
  5. Last night's sunset ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  6. Hope you get it sorted ๐Ÿคž Bizzarely mine continues to work - mileage in the App is within a few miles of that reported on the digital certificate. I guess data might be populated from different sources as the digital certificate indicated 1815 miles, whereas the mileage in both 'car details' and 'service' areas of the App indicates 1837 miles๐Ÿคท
  7. Tonight's sunset................
  8. My thought is modern cars in general are increasingly frustrating. Certainly have. The system in my latest Karoq is reasonably accurate, although seems limited in its ability to alter car settings - it can't control the HVAC system whereas this was possible in a Lexus GS300 I owned many years ago! In most scenarios I typically bypass the Skoda system (using the mic button on the steering wheel) and ask Google.
  9. Just downloaded a certificate for mine and see the Mileage is pretty much up-to-date ๐Ÿคท
  10. Not that I recall - I must check the Dashcam footage๐Ÿ‘ Nonetheless it came as a surprise the car would Autonomously switch to a target speed of 100 MPH on a UK Motorway.
  11. Hope you get it sorted ๐Ÿคž Frustrating when these things don't work as intended.
  12. Just tried and see it's working for my car. Also noticed I have a leather gear lever! On the last Karoq the digital certificate told me I had 18" alloy wheels and 17" tyres ๐Ÿคฃ
  13. I had wondered the same but I'm certain it said 100 MPH on the lower display (along with 100 in the red circle). Also.........
  14. Seems bizzare to think a car sold in the UK could autonomously set a target speed in excess of the speed limit ๐Ÿค”
  15. I was driving along the M56 today with all driver aids engaged. ACC was engaged at an indicated 74 MPH (GPS 70 MPH) and the 70 MPH speed limit sign was displayed on the dashboard. The speed limit displayed on the dashboard suddenly switched to 100 MPH and the car accelerated in an attempt to reach the ton! I immediately cancelled ACC, but 100 MPH continued to be displayed as the current speed limit for several miles. I hadn't come across this before and wondered if the car had 'misread' something on the motorway?
  16. That'll be the difference I suspect๐Ÿ‘ I recall reading there was a marginal difference in tyres between the 2WD and 4WD. I looked at an Enyaq the other day and thought the 235/50/19 tyres looked like they'd give a forgiving ride, based on the amount of sidewall. Similarly my old Jaguar is made primarily for comfort and has 235/50/18's
  17. Many thanks ๐Ÿ‘ Think I'm just suffering with a (hopefully short-lived) case of buyer remorse, as in reality the car cost a relatively modest (+5%) amount more than the SE L it replaced and has a number of benefits, not least the excellent headlights, panoramic roof, electric tailgate, DSG and the option to switch DCC to comfort. If the ride continues to be an issue I'll look to switch to a more forgiving tyre /wheel combination.
  18. 225/40/19 Bridgestone Turanza T005. They offer very little protection to the wheel rim - already kerbed a rear one ๐Ÿ˜ฌ
  19. Somewhat ironically a recent solar installation blocks the view ๐Ÿคจ Will need to scope out a new sunrise spot!
  20. Colourful sunrise this morning ๐ŸŒž๐Ÿ‘
  21. Would this help? https://ebay.us/m/9YTyQH
  22. Have to say I'm not enjoying the ride on the 19" alloys / low profile tyres. I'm tending to switch the DCC to Comfort mode most journeys, which certainly improves matters. Will definitely explore a switch to 17" wheels
  23. This seems to be the case over the first two fill-ups. I'm seeing an average of 40 MPG, as opposed to 44 MPG for the old manual car.
  24. A couple from this evening ๐Ÿ“ธ
  25. I then switched to So I switched to my current (cable & adapter) based solution.
