  1. I have noise form around the glovebox area at between 2000- 2250 rpm, and more noticeable when colder
  2. I have sealed around the top corner of the screen and inside a pillar to screen, however I am also seeing water on the main door aperture seal and a water trail over the aperture seal drivers side front, so think I have got the screen sealed but possible door seal leaj as well.
  3. No sunroof as has thought of drain tubes, but no sunroof
  4. Hi my drivers footwell is wet and I had made sure the plenum chamber was clear and also there was no debris behind the wheel arch liner, however after rain today I noticed the a pillar trim was wet and was wondering if most likely the door aperture seal or the top door seal. Any advice would be appreciated Cheers
  5. Hi I have a similar problem with Mk2 2l TDI Octavia Scout, where there is no communication to the engine ECU, fuses all check out ok, and the car was working ok on Friday but came up with skid warning as well.
  6. carried out the 2nd oil change of the haldex and not had a lock up since but still early.
  7. Thanks for your advice, as there was some swarf in the haldex when we changed the oil & filter we are going to do another oil change & see what comes out. then review it from there,
  8. Hi The vehicle runs normally under normal driving conditions, however when cold, and turning right on an accute turn there is a what I would call a resistance to roll forward and this seems to lead to a loss of drive and my wife who has sampled this more kangarooded. It also did it yestereday on a full left lock reversing out of the driveway and when the steering was taken off full lock it was fine. There is no knocking noises which I would have expected if a CV was on its way out and the vehicle drives fine apart from this. It also is quite intermittent when happens. The steering seems to operating normally with no drift or pull. Tyres are all ok and pressures checked. I think may have got a small amount of scrubbibg noise from the OSF but this may not be anything to do with the probelm. The Haldex oil & filter were changed as was well over due by time and seems to have cured a delay from the front to back and was advised that was running correctly on the ramp where I had replaced. Kind regards
  9. No warning lights on at all I was mistaken with the PAS reservoir, must have been my previous Octavia Thanks
  10. Its fluid run PAS as there is a reservoir ,but don't hear any release valve so is a possibility. The battery was replaced about 2 years ago and seems to be ok, could give a full recharge and see if makes any difference Thanks
  11. Hi My 2008 Octavia Mk 2 1.9 TDI BXE seems on full lock to intermittently be struggling. There are no warning lights on the dash and the engine seems to be fine, when released from full lock and on the straight there doesn't seem to be any issues. Has anyone had a CV joint fail without any noises or could someone give me any ideas. I have recently had the Haldex oil and filter replaced & have been advised the 4wd system seems to be running all ok. Any thoughts would be appreciated
  12. Mine also has torx screws where the upper and lower tailgate trims meet on the edge. Pain to realign.
