Fabia MK 2 power steering top-up.

Featured Replies

Apologies if this has already been asked, I did search but couldn’t find exactly what I was looking for.

where is the filler cap to top up the power steering fluid on my 2013 Elegance please?

is it under the battery as information elsewhere seemed to suggest?

many thanks in advance.

I have a 2009 Elegance and mine is a green cap behind the LH front headlamp.

Always in that position,  but what's in the way of seeing and touching it varies considerably with engine type.

Many thanks Jocko and Breezy Pete. I have the fluid and I’ll take a look tomorrow.

All done. Bit of a pig to access as it’s slightly underneath the battery housing but just managed to get one of my hands in enough to undo the cap and used a funnel with some hose attached. Many thanks guys.

I have never needed to top up PAS fluid on any car I have owned. Still check it regularly. Do you have a leak?

@Dr. Lovebucket - @Jocko has a point; the only time I ever had to top up PAS fluid there was a leak...

Yes. That is a possibility. Must be very slow. I asked my local garage to check power steering well over a year ago as it seemed to be getting a little heavier. They told me that they topped up the fluid and everything OK. I’ll have to live with it for the moment as I haven’t the time or money to be looking at stripdown/refurb or replacement rack/pump.
